Hey I was browsing Neo, and all of a sudden I notice a new MGS game! I understand it'll be a remake of the original MGS, but will it only be on GC? Because all I have is a PS2...

Yeah the game so far is only going to come out on GameCube and I haven't heard if they are going to release it on any other platform other than GC.

Well that sucks. I don't want to buy a GC.

Heh, well I could get all the re-released Resident Evils, Metroid Prime and any other good GC-exclusive games...if there are any others.

I think it might come out for other systems. MGS Substance was oringinaly for X Box, but it later came out for other platforms. I am also a PS2 gamer and I hope to see it for PS2. The newest trailer kicked ass.

Well this is mostly made for Gamecube so it's probably just going to belong on the Gamecube only.Hopefully,they'll probably make another version of Metal Gear Solid for the two other major consoles since mostly that happens.

I think that this will be GC only as I read that Hideo was doing this as a favor to Nintendo after all the phenomenon that is MGS started on the SNES

No the Twin Snakes won't be coming out for PS2 or Xbox. This game is being made exclusively for the Gamecube by Silicon Knights and Konami. As a thank you from Konami for the Metal Gear Solid series appearing on the original NES. Granted Substance did appear on the Xbox but it was always planned for the PS2. This is not the case for Twin Snakes, Gamecube only.

This is unfortunate...I thought all my MGS dreams would come true on the PS console.

Hey man, it's not that bad though, really. The GameCube is only $99.99 now, and it comes with the GameBoy Player, Zelda:WW, or a Zelda Bundle game.

Plus there are some pretty good games on GameCube like Resi Evil 0, Resi Evil Remake Metroid, Zelda: Wind Waker, Viewtiful Joe, and Mario Sunshine. So it's not all bad man. I'm sure you could find games on the system that you'd like.

If you just simply CAN'T get a GCN, then at least you still get MGS3.

Yeah, I think I will buy a GC. Hopefully there's still some Platinum-colored ones around, otherwise I will have to settle for black.

And I love the Resident Evil series, so I'll have to play those re-releases. And I'll have to check out Zelda: WW...if it can beat out VC on the list of top games by Game Informer magazine, then it must be worth playing.

Yeah, the GCN is certainly worth it. Zelda: WW kicks a lot of ass too. I don't know if I'd say it's better than Vice City, but it's up there, definitely.

And if you love the RE series, then you'll love the REmake and the new prequel Resident Evil 0. Plus it's getting an entirely new sequel soon with Resident Evil 4.

Combine that with GCN's considerably low price and MGS:TTS, you'll love GCN.

Recently, several rumors have been spread about the release of Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. Some took the following photo as proof that the game was being developed for PlayStation2.



However, this is not the case. If you cannot tell, the PS2's input plugs are not even hooked up to the television, the developer's GameCube is just out of sight of the camera. As of this writing, there are no plans to port Twin Snakes to any other system.

Sorry to disappoint, but at least you still get Snake Eater.

i only got a PS2, oh well, but my friend gots a GC and he is gonna buy the twin snakes, and he said he will let me borrow it, yay!

Anyways, I think it's good that the GameCube received Twin Snakes as an exclusive. After all, this console does have a lot of old series on it.
