Was he older than Solid? And if Solid knows him long enough, how do u impersonate someone by just covering yourself with sunglasses and tying up your hair, and copying his voice like Liquid did? Which then leads to another debate on how the codec works exactly (telepathy ie. it seems people dont see each others faces during codec convo).

this is one of the biggest spoilers in mgs tts, master miller is actualy killed, and the person your talking to on codec is actualy. LIQUID!!!yep over the radio. the collenol SP? says they find master millers dead body at his home

I knew that from when I played the ps1 version like 5 years ago lol, but if mgs2 ever comes to GC even the Cournel Baker is fake, hes a A.I. so they used the same thing in mgs2 kinda.

Why didnt Snake recognize his voice on the codec (and if the picture does shows the faces during the convos through nanomachines) if he knew him so well.

And what is his background really? Was he Big Boss' puppy just like Grey Fox..

The reason Snake did not notice that Master Miller was Liquid is because it had been so long since he had seen Miller. Snake retired as well, but Miller retired after Zanzibar, Snake did not. Then again Master Miller in the beginning could of be Decoy Octopus, but he died when Snake came in contact with him(DARPA Cheif Donald Anderson.)

But its too far fetched, and the whole telephatic codec is just crazy, the only reson the faces are there is to let you see whos talking, it doesnt mean Snake sees them.

Liquid and Miller have different voices. Liquid speaks with the stereotypical voice the Americans invented for the UK, whereas Miller has a more generic voice.

The game contradicts itself regarding the codec. Remember when Snake says Mei Ling is cute? How could he know that? Also, when he 1st sees Meryl in person, he acts like he has never seen her before.

i tend not to think about topics like this since it seems to lead to more questions then answers and thats when the game turns a little sour. Just tell yourself "its a game" and move on. Here some questions that bothered me: 1. how can snake carry a whole arsenal of weapons and yet stay completely quite while sneaking around? 2. why does raven go back into the destroyed tank? and finally one similar to this topic 3. why didnt mei ling see that MM transmission come from the base in the first place?

I dont think the codec has anything to do with psychic since he still has to talk for them to hear. If it was psychic he wouldnt have to do that now would he?

No the Colonel was real in MGS1.
MGS2 they made an AI version of him for the S3 project to see how they could actually remake a real life situation.

About the telepathic thing, the game clearly states that the codec stimulates Snake's inner ear so he can hear what they say. Maybe the codec is also connected to his jaw so the mouth movements let the people he is talking to hear him. About Miller, he was a guy in MG2:SS with BLACK hair. This proves that Snake can't see the person. Miller was a survival specialist and gave the same type of hints bout resting and stuff. Since NA never received MG2, this was like a clue for Japanese long-time Metal Gear fans. Master Miller was retired too when they brought him into the fray of Zanzibar Land. Also, nothing to do with this, Snake's picture in MG2 looked like Sylvester Stallone cause they cosidered him the War Actor cause of his work on Rambo. I'll post a picture of MG2's Solid Snake so you can see the incredible resemblance.

It doesn't sense the jaw it actually connects to the vocal cords so even if he whispers Campbel and everybody can here him. That's why he always presses his neck activating the codec.

He is also half Japanese from what I hear.

Ok the reason Snake acted like that with Meryl the first time he really saw her was because he was trying to get laid, second he didnt realize it was master miller case as you can see then technology was enough to let you see any colors, thats why Liquid tied his hair so that snake wouldnt realize his hair was blonde, also I would imagine liquid was using some sort of dsevice to cloak his voice.

PS- In the orignal Metal Gear Solid for PS1 there is a part where you are on top of metal gear and you can look at the window where Liquid and Ocelot are and then call Master Miller, its really funny. Unfortunatly you cant do that in Twin Snakes.
