Yeah, Konami showed Nintendo a bit of love and had Silicon Knights, a former 'GameCube-only' developer, make Twin Snakes for the GameCube. However, Konami can, at any time, put it on any other system. They own the rights, and Silicon Knights is independent (works for all consoles) now.

I just dont understand why they would make all the games for ps and ps2. But make this one for gamecube, It just dosent make sence.

Was this an evil marketing ploy?
As much as i want to believe Hideo giving love to Nintendo, i sense a trickery here.. What MGS started years ago led to MGS2 and MGS3.. And now that Twin Snakes released, for those who have never experienced any MGS games, this gives them an introduction.. to the ending of MGS/MGS Twin Snakes leads to MGS2 which is probably no way will be released on the 'Cube... and with SnakeEater being just months after MGS Twin Snakes released, hence people will obviously buy the Ps2 just to follow up what MGS Twin Snakes left out.. did anyone catch my drift? Hideo is a master of trickery when it comes to his storylines.. but also in the real world.. the real gaming world.. | |

Kojima offered one of his best selling games rights to Nintendo.. technically 'bout 80% of the project was done by Silicone Knights with a slight help from Konami and Kojima's team.. keep in mind that while Twin Snakes was being worked on, SnakeEater was also taking place and Kojima had 95% focus on SnakeEater.. but to theorize the answer to the question, its up to Kojima and Silicone Knights if they want to release Twin Snakes on Ps2, with it Kojima owning the rights and almost the entire build up of the game done by Silicone Knights, Nintendo doesnt own anything in the game besides Mario and Yoshi.. so its up to Kojima and SK to release it on another platform really.. | |
