Started this cause I couldn't believe there was an EVE sucks thread. EVE is getting high rating from reviewers and players alike. Some folks just can't get into non first shooter pure action games. This game requires intellect. No one can fly a ship through space, mine minerals, out gun pirates, outmenuever bounty hunters, complete missions, and rise in the ranks of a corporation without using their brains.

So if you are smart enough you'll find me deep in space.

I been looking at reviews of this over the last few hours. If it rocks then why are there not more people talking about it here?

Because eve needs a lot of time to get use to. It is just to complex for most of the people. You need skill to play it and you must spend time to learn to play it. Most people just start to play eve and think there is no action, but eve is not an action game (until you get into a fight and I tell you, you don't want to). Eve is much like the real world and very realistic. In fact it the best VR I have ever seen. My friend are in eve. I meet them every day. We work together, we fight together and we will die to save our friend if we must. I have never seen a game where people work so close together. Some people think eve is boring. Let them think, they don't know what they're missing.

Your right,,,EVE Rocks...This is the most inversive game I have ever played and I am addicted already, There are at least 4000 to 8000 players on at any given time. If you spen some time in it, you will find it's not just a game, it's a universe that is totally driven by players and can take hours, even days to navigate through it. Everything that you do in this is totally interactive with other players...So, I give my commendations to the creators to something that will become a game that will last longer than any game out...

Eve is best ever online game !!!!

This game is by far better than everquest or ultima online. I have only been playing for four days, and yes i am addicted like most that play already. I have two frigates, and two haulers already, and love them all, but striving for that thorax of devastation. And truth be told, this really is a place where everybody i have met in it has been friendly and helpful. Is nice to see people working together to this magnitude.

And unlike EA Games, which can be canceled at any minute for no good reason, this game will be around for a long time.

I have to agree, this game is the best! i came over to eve online three days ago, i am only mineing with my crapy noob ship <everything else i had got blown to bits by pirates> but i have plans for a very nice calidari battle ship! the ship is huge, powerful and expensive..... my guess is that it will be months before i can buy it, equip it, and use it just based on cost..... however the skills i need take almost an equal amount of time so its not like i have much else to do. It is very much like the real world, i hava applied for a position in a corp. as a miner to get myself some pay, the application was accepted today! I will be haveing fun in no time! This kicks EQ, FFXI, EQII, and SWG in the ass!



P.S.: i enjoy the sheer beauty of star gazeing while mining some astroids, the stars, nebulas, and planets are soo cool! Ohyeah and i'm a trekkie so that might have something to do with this reaction to the game, but seriously its SPIFY!!!!!!

Anyways. As an update to this ancient thread, EVE is seriously great. You won't see a game like this again. Totally and completely different than the competition! Everbody go get EVE!

Hmmm 1982, id have to say thats quite odd. Eve must've been quite lonely back then since you were the ONLY PERSON online in 1982 before the personal computer even started making there way into homes. Im 29 and in the LATE 80s they were just getting computers into the schools when the personal computer wasnt nothing but a small 15" screen with a huge floppy drive on the bottom made by mac. You have got to either be either incredibly stupid or just desperatley trying to make yourself look alot better then you are to come up with something like that. Anyone whos of any age would know thats BS. LOL "1982" give me a break!!!

this game is a completely rips off parts of the Nexus game, subscription sucks, greedy people who want u to pay over £100 a year, cancel the fee paying!!!

Ok, time to ask since some seem to have played E&B, are they similar in some ways or no?
