I dont know if a thread has been made like this already but i was just wondering what everyone thinks was the greatest boss battle in the series. for me it was the battle with psycho mantis but the battle with the end was a close second.

The most emotional battle, making it my favorite, would be the battle with The BOSS.

me VS the fury or Mantis. the way all the stuff Manthis does adn the fury is scary, and everything is dark, then out of nowhere it's bright fire all over you. you can feel FURY

Well first off get your ass off your chair and get MGS3 you wont regret it

And the fight with the End is got to be the best. There are sooo many ways to fight this century old, eye popping freak. You can use the cheat to find where he is at or you can try to find him w/out using the cheat or any items, you can tranq him kill him, just chase him from sniping spot to spot shooting him with you short barel shotgun and see him fly. OVERALL there is no boss battle like this one its CRAAAZY

The Vulcan Raven boss battle is awesome. Especially on Extreme where Raven sprints around the Warehouse. I also liked the Revolver Ocelot boss fight in MGS1 as well. In MGS2 the only battle I really liked was with Solidus at the end. And MGS3 had the Fury and the End which were the battles I liked in that game.

Agreed I love that battle each time I play it still feel the way I did when I first played back in 1999. He just keeps on getting faster and he makes those heavy sounds. His vision area is huge.

My favorite battle was either The End or The Boss, becuse The End's battle was so much fun constently running around and snipping, snipping is the best thing ever, and a sniper dule was just what I wanted, as for The Boss, the battle was rather lacking, but the backstory and the emotions I felt during the battle along with the close end (her stamina was a pixle and so was my health, I defeated her with a stamina drain, becuse I had litteraly no ammo exept for the Mk22, and I really wanted that cammo), defenitly made The Boss a great battle.

The Shagohod battle blew, I mean infinit amo, I mean sure latter on when you hop off you don't get infin. amo but still, I wanted more from that battle..

MGS1: Sniper Wolf/Vulcan Raven.
MGS2: Solidus/Fatman
MGS3: The End/Ocelots in the most holy woods(if you sniped The End outside the Warehouse in Ponzijove).

I'm merely a fan of sniper duels, that's all. I just like using camouflage and the environment and searching for the target and aiming for the head, then letting a bullet loose from a long ways out.
