Training |

this might be a bit basic guys, apologies if it is! How does the training work and what is the significance of the different coloured bars on the player bios? Ive trained some players for half a season and dont seem to be getting any noticeable changes from it ?

I don't understand how the training exactly works either - aspects of it seem random to me aswell. However, the green bar increases the skill as a result of your particular individual training. The blue is the player's core level. For some players, with training, the green bars hardly move and for others it goes up consistently !!!. The skill level of players goes up aswell occasionly - I don't know exactly why.

i found that if you train strikers the ability "heading" they're more likely to increase their overall power than with anything else.
most of the defenders are upgraded when you train them "tackling". on midfielders i guess it's passing and/or technique. there are a couple of young players that are worthy being bought early in the game, because they are very talented and upgrade very fast: jermaine jones, st, eintracht frankfurt, german liga 1 mike hanke, st, schalke 04, german liga 1 akubu, mid, ajax amsterdam, dutch league michael rensing, keeper, bayern munich, german league 1

A player's skill rating is a combination of certain stats
for example for strikers it is 0.1 * (Ball Control + Dribbling) + 0.2 * Heading + 0.3 * (Accuracy + Power). The total is then rounded down, if the total is a whole number the skill rating is 1 less for 64.0 becomes a skill rating of 63. The blue bar is what the rating is presently at and the green bar is how much training the player has done, when the green bar fills up the stat represented increases by 1 point. A player's value is also directly related to their skill rating. If you want to make money quickly then buy players with a skill rating of 79 (e.g. Ronaldo or Djemba Djemba from Man U) and train them to level 80 as that is the biggest price increase in the game. For midfielders it is from 3 Million to 5 Million.
