Morrowind after Oblivion |
|
I've recently returned to playing Morrowind after playing Oblivion for a year or so. Kinda done with Oblivion for a while. I played for a while last night, and it seems pretty difficult to get back into it, because the graphics obviously are not as nice as OB, and the characters don't "talk." Seems like everything takes longer to load, too.
Has anyone else gone back to MW? Do you eventually get used to the differences, or does it always bug you? Also, is there any way to load it to the hard drive? I can't find that option. I think it might help with the load times. Thoughts? ------------------- If this is our destiny, then that was his, and if there are no explanations for us, let there be none for him. ~ Guildenstern

Morrowind has always had long load times (at least on xbox). That's one of its many flaws. If you love the story enough, the flaws can be overlooked, but if not, you're probably always be bugged by them.
I don't know about the hard drive helping the load time, so I can't help you with that one.

If I remember correctly, Shadow J (The moderator of this place), went to Oblivion for a while then came back to Morrowind.

Stop in Morrowind long enough and you'll see Oblivion as a shallow inferior version of Morrowind with better graphics.

I will say this though. I loved how you could always hit some if you aim right in Oblivion. In Morrowind it's *bleep* because you trying to kill a scrib but you can't hit it.
