So... what is this thread about? Is it you've had the disease and don't know how to cure it before becoming a werewolf? This thread is absolutely useless unless you don't have a reason for it.

There is a crow up on like, a hill in solthsiem that sets up the quest to get cured. It's really cool.

If you don't want to do its quests then I know for a fact that the potion to cure it is hidden in their cave in a stalagmite or something.

re: werewolf=bad 4 me

After you've been infected, you have 3 days in which to cure the disease before it takes effect. Any Cure Common Disease potion, scroll, or spell will do the trick. Cast the spell, rest for 1 hour, and talk to Korst Wind-Eye, and he'll see that the infection has been cured. You then can continue the Bloodmoon Main Quest as a human.

If you've already become a werewolf (and had the transformation dream), then you'll need to get the cure from a group of witches. Head to the Altar of Thrond. You'll see a giant raven there, and it will offer you a cure for your lycanthrophy. If you accept, the raven will teleport you to the Gloomy Cave. There are three witches there--the raven (who shape-shifted back into human form), and her two sisters. Before the head witch will give you the cure, you'll have to gather ingredients for her two sisters. One wants wolfsbane, which grows at the top of Hvitklad Peak. The other wants ripened belladona berries, which grow outside burial barrows (and also can be found on dead spriggans). Once you get the ingredients and turn them in, the head witch says to meet her at the Altar of Thrond again. The witch then tells you to kill an innocent Nord woman who is unconscious on the altar. Cut out her heart and give it to the witch. The witch will then pour a potion over it and tell you to put it back in the body. Talk to the witch again--she'll cast a spell and turn the Nord woman into a werewolf. Kill the werewolf, and you're cured. You are now cured of your lycanthrophy, and you can never catch it again.

Seriously, in their cave somewhere is a thing called scroll of the wolf ender. You can just get rid of it yourself and not go through all of that trouble.

Yeah, but doing it that way would ruin all the fun. I had no idea about the cure for lycanthropy, and now I've restarted the Bloodmoon MQ just to get the cure. I personally find it fun.

But RB, you missed one thing: you have to get the note from the Fort Frostmoth dock or the raven won't show up. I know, 'cause I was wondering around the Altar of Thrond for about fifteen minutes before consulting the UESP.

Yeah, my mistake. You can also start the "Rite of the Wolf Giver" Quest by asking around Fort Frostmoth or Raven Rock about "latest rumors." Talk to people and one will mention that a huge raven was seen at the Altar of Thrond. But until you either get the rumor or get the note from the docks, the raven won't show up. My bad.

just to make sure you know- if you get cured, you can never become a werewolf again. Even if you don't like it now, it might appeal to you later.

re: werewolf=bad 4 me

Something's screwy with my Rite of the Wolf Giver quest. I got the ingredients that they needed, and they told me to meet them up on on the hill.

When I got back to the Altar, Etienne told me to finish the quests that Hircine had assigned(he'd given me the Skaalara quest, but I hadn't gone and done it yet). So I checked back after the quest, she said the same thing, so I did the Spirit Bear quest, checked back, and she said - she was really mean about it, too - to kill the innocent and take her heart. So I did, with the dagger on the Altar. But as soon as I talked to Etienne again, she greeted me like a typical NPC would, and there was no topic for the Wolf Giver quest. She didn't even have the witch-voice on, either . . . .

Do I just need to finish the MQ, or am I just screwed and need to start another game?

re: werewolf=bad 4 me

Once you make the decision to become a werewolf (by letting the disease spread for three days) you have to finish the Bloodmoon Main Quest along the Werewolf side. There are three werewolf specific quests that you have to do before the endgame starts (with Hircine's Hunt in the Mortrag Glacier). Basically, once you become a werewolf, you have to finish the Bloodmoon MQ before you can get a cure for lycanthrophy. I guess the programmers did this so people wouldn't start the Main Quest as a werewolf, do a mission or two, and then decide to change back into a human for the last couple of quests. You can only choose one path--Human or Werewolf--and you have to remain on that path until the Bloodmoon Main Quest is completed.

re: werewolf=bad 4 me

Once the man is bitten by the werewolf and absorbs the light of the moon, he too shall roam the city in search of victims, as the werewolves before him have. The werewolf dynasty is matched, by not yet evenly challenged by the race of man, for man now must struggle to obtain true authority over the Earth which is slowly being succombed to the evil demons and werewolves abroad. Once the humans find a way to destroy the werewolves who they loath so much, they can be free to hunt down Zamthorn, son of Herald, leader of the demons, for he has plagued them since day one of their eternal upbringing of the sisters Linda and Zudeki...

Good deal. I've already done the MQ as both, but I didn't know about the cure, so I thought I'd try it out. I had just assumed after Ettiene didn't tell me to finish Hircine's quests again - on the contrary, she told me to kill the girl, so that's what I did! - that perhaps it was safe to proceed. Obviously not. So, do I need to reload from my previous save, or is it safe to have killed the Female Nord Innocent - great name, by the way - and continue on with the MQ and finish up the Rite of the Wolf Giver afterward?

I suppose the Skaal wouldn't have been very forgiving of me anyway, after I ruined their happy rituals and everything. . . .

You do realize that this isn't an RP forum right? You can keep posting like that if you want but at least make sure to answer the poster's questions while doing so.
