Once again i do apolagize for making a thread that is probaly already here somewhere but you guys know how in tel ahrun you can buy house slaves..i was wondering if they serve any purpose i brought a slave to my stronghold thinking maybe they wpuld stay there or something..just to be there but they didn't..the only thing i can see to do is free them and that totaly defies the point of buying them

Its just cool to have slaves follow you around =P but they dont really serve a purpose.

if you have the PC version you can supe them up to be personal bodyguards

it is amazing to watch a khajiit slave run faster than a speeding bullet and rip the life out of a guar

their initial purpose is so you can free them, once you free around 30 slaves you will get a password for the "twin lamps" a faction that makes it their job to free and to help slaves

unfortunatly you can only do 2 quests for them

the only other purpose they serve is target practice...except for one in Tel'Aruhn who is needed to advance in the main quest

I wish they can serve as say meat sheilds

You could get tons of slaves and make them stay in your stronghold (if you made one yet), and pretend its your own lil slave plantation...

Then savagely beat the slaves for no reason lol

Slaves actually do serve a purpose . I was just walking around with my 500,000 g pieces then I thought , I want to go to my strong hold and buff up on slaves . So I went to my strong hold ; I like to call it a museum cause i have a bunch of stuff and stands with a mod I made with that has my own personal body guards that go and get peoples money but the people regenerate money so I keep on getting money .
So then I got about 20 slaves and brought them to red mountain and they were pretty bad. so I just decides to use my body guards and they were freakin' awsome . My points is its fun to watch slaves die .

So how do you initiate the Twin Lamps quests?

Find illmeri(spelling?) dren in vivec and help her or free 30 or more slaves.

You do both, in fact you must free 30 slaves to get the twin lamps "password" then repeat that password to her

It is, but there's no way to use that password until you've freed the requisite number of slaves.

I know , and I have freed at least 30 slaves .

You have to talk to one of the slaves (or Jobasha in Vivec) to actually be given the password. You don't just get it after freeing them.

But there's no real benefit to doing the twin lamps quest .
