P.S: I have the Internation version of it. So, his hp is 999,999.

He really shouldn't pose that much of a problem.
Just get your stats above 100 and you won't have that much of a problem.
Don't forget to steal and use Lancet on him though, he has some rare items (Door to Tommorow x10, I think) and he can teach Kimahri his Nova overdrive.

Actually, Gamble(sp) sprits x30 is the item you steal from Omega. Door to Tommorow x10 is from Ultima. And also, you only can bribe Ultima Weapon. You can't bribe Omega Weapon.

I don't have the International version, but what I ended up doing is that I got 255 strength for Tidus, Rikku, and Wakka before I remembered that I hadn't fought him. Went to him, 12 hits from Wakka's attack reels beat him on the spot.

Just train Tidus until he knows hastaga and with that you should have no problem Really? People have problems with Evrae with Tidus knowing Hastega, and you think he'll even make it to Omega Weapon with having only just learnt Hastega? Best thing you can do is get around 150+ Strength for Yuna, Tidus, and Auron. Use Three Stars, Hastega, and Quick Hits, Healing / OD'ing when needed.

Meh, 150 strength? Wow, I did it with 90, but I was far beyond hastega. Heres my usual strategy: I like to have all characters gain experience from battle, and score overkills. -Have starting 3: the party you arent going to use, use guard. -Switch all three, steal with Rikku, Lancet with Kimahri. -Switch out Rikku for, say, Tidus, now you have your best party. -Use hastega, and Mighty Guard. -Pummel, and eventually get that overkill using an Attack Reel.

Your stats shouldn't matter much, as long as you keep a good strategy going on.
Try to have Rikku in your active party. Mix Hyper Mighty Guard on your characters (Protect/SHell/Haste/Regen/Auto-Life). And remix it when Auto-Life is used up. Using Cheer 5 times (Focus , too) will help reduce the damage you take in much as well. (Cheer reduces strength based damage by 33% after 5 castings. Same for Focus, except with Magic based damage.)
From there, you shouldn't have much trouble. If you want, you can Throw a Stamina Tonic (capture one of each of the three fiends in Besaid, and get 99 of them from the Arena manager) to double the Max HP of your characters (but it won't go beyond 9999 if you don't have BHPL equipped).

Here's what I did, and mind you my stats weren't the best (I was avoiding stealing from chests because Mimics kicked my rear easily at the time)
1. Starts with Rikku, Yuna, and Auron (Make sure Yuna knows Auto Life!)
2. Steal with Rikku, Protect, Shell and Auto Life everyone with Yuna, Sentinel with Auron when Omega's turn is before Auron's next turn.
3. Switch Rikku out for Kimahri, and Lancet (Be sure to cast Shell, Protect, and Auto Life on him)
4. Bring in Wakka, Lulu, and Tidus one at a time, making sure Yuna and Auron are always in. Continue using Protect, Shell and Auto Life.
5. Bring Rikku back in for the final leg of the battle, use a Chocobo Wing, or Hastega (If Rikku knows it) to Haste everyone.
6. Rikku's next turn mix up Trio of 9999, and begin pummeling Omega using any gem that does damage to all enemies so you get multiple hits of 9999 (It's best if Yuna knows Use as well). Continue using Sentinel with Auron if he doesn't have another turn before Omega does since normally his defense is the highest and the defend decreases damage even more.
If you want to you can surely bring in Aeons and pummel Omega with their Overdrives, but try using Bahamut, Anima, and the Magus Sisters since they all automatically break damage limit.

dude omega weapon is one of the most pathetic bosses in ffx cmon dude.
easyest way:get all your aeons overdrive and your entire party at max(anima, yojimbo, magus sisters too) then unleash it.
hardest way:get your characters up to 90 or 85 strenght(or more) and 9999 hp with someone 7000 and 6000 with others (ex:tidus hp-9999 str-96 wakka: hp-7000 str-81 rikku: hp-6000 str-76)then all overdives now protect shell.
