I was heading for Wall Shadow's lair when I noticed something odd... you know how there's that big cave with the entrance to Kuromori's temple? Well, I was swimming around in that cave, just exploring ya know, and I noticed fish in there. While holding the R1 button to swim, one of the fish bumped into me and I caught on to its fin... then I went for a ride on its back. Is there any point to this? Will it lead me to the seventeenth colossus? One can only hope...

There are quite a few things you can do in this game that serve no purpose. Grabbing onto fish is one of them. You can also grab onto doves and hawks. There are also turtles and lizards in there that you can kill, but they won't yield anything. Actually, random little things like that are what makes this game one of my favorites.

Yeah I love all the little things in this game, but catching onto birds intrigues me... can I fly around like that?

you can and they'll fly you around for a while until the fly too close to the ground knocking you free of them. it takes some patience though, your timing has to be just right.

Cool, I just tried it, I snuck up on the doves that gather around the temple as you defeat Colossi, and jumped at them when I got close... unfortunately, Wander is a fat bastard and he weighs them down too much XD jk
