After beating the first of the colousi (sp, I know) I followed my sword to a place that I've confirmed is the way to get to the second beast. But no matter how I try I get stuck on the bridge. Not frozen, I can still go to map, I just can't do anything. It doesn't seem to matter what the speed is or whether or not on foot. What should I do?

It's referred to as matrix mode. It means the game can't load something correctly, so it freezes. If you wait awhile while in matrix mode, it may load. If it doesn't, clean your disc. If that still doesn't work, try going around with the other bridge to the east.

If all this fails, then I'm afraid your game is *bleep*ed up dude.

Should I take it back and get another and see if it works...it appears my game is, as you put it, bleeped.

For a quick fix, try taking the disc out while it's loading. Like, when it messes up, open the disc tray then close it again. I forget what game this worked on, but it used to always be good for jumpstarting a certain game...Might've been GT4.
