Create a colossus |
|
I fthought that this would be a fun thread. Simpl list the infor of the colossus in a format like this:
Name: (optional) Arena: Colossus description: (how he looks) Attacks: Movement: (slow, fast, underground, above ground, flying, underwater) Vitals: Agro?: (yes/no) Strategy: (how to beat the colossus) Name: None Arena: A big, icy arena in the air, held up by a small pilar of rock under the middle. Colossus description: A big blue biped with white fur. He only has fur on his back an his arms. Attacks: Stomping, slaming you with his fist, shaking ice out of his fur. Movement: Slow, above ground. Vitals: One on each of his shoulders and one on his head. Agro?: No Strategy: You will find it impossible to climb him at first, biut the trick is luring him to the edge of the arena. As soon as you do, hold R1 to grab on the edge ofthe arena, because his weight will tip it. HE wil then slide off, grabing the arena with his hands. If done correctly, you should be grabbing above the colossus's head and between his hands. Drop down and try to land and grab on the colossus. Strike his head symbol with a few fuly charged strikes and then he will fall, taking you and the arena with him. Now that the arena's in the water, you'll need to find a new way to strike his shoulders. Notice how the rock pillar that once supported the arena is right next to it now. Quickly run there and you'll see that you can climb it He'll try to follow you, but he'll fall off the edge, flipping the rena around. Now's your chance, descend the pillar and land on the colossus's head. Continue holding on as he climbs up the pillar to jump in the middle of the arena. When things settle down, head for his right shoulder. One full charged stab should take care of that symbol. While trying to shake you off, he succeeds in tipping the arena again. If you're quick enough, you can grab the pillar by jumping off the colossus, if not, just go on the arena and jump up from there. Then repeat the process of climbing the pillar, making him tip the arena and jumping on him and head for his left shoulder. One last stab should kill the colossus. -------------------

Name: None
Arena: A large, indoor arena with giant square pillar in the middle, making kind of a round-about hall. Colossus description:A medium sized biped. He has spiked plates on his shoulders and stone armor everywhere else. Under it is a blueish fur on greenish skin. The fur is on his right hand and goes up to his head and then down his back and chest. Attacks: Stomping, smashing with right fist, making small blocks fall down that can fall on you. Movement: Medium speed, above ground. Vitals: Back, stomach, head. Agro?: Yes Strategy: you must ride Agro around the long halls. While on him, you first have to shoot some loose, cracked blocks at the end of the halls. Turning shouldn't be a problem because of the size of the halls. Once you hit a block, some rocks will fall down and hit the colossus. The blocks wont't block your path, but will become an obstical. Shoot three more stones to break his armor. Now, pick up speed with Agro, the fallen blocks will slow the colossus down a bit.The colossus's chest hair is out of jumping range so you must go fast enough to get behind him with Agro and then jump on him. After that, you must strike the back symbol a few times, then regain strength near his shoulders and head for the stomach. After striking his stomach a few times, go for the hardest symbol, his head. His head will cause some problems because the colossus will hit the walls while trying to shake you off, causing pillars to fall and possible knock you off. A few fully charged stabs should finish him off, just make sure to avoid the pillars whenever possible. -------------------

Name: Cyclops
Arena: An gigantic cave along the sea. There are rockpiles strewn about and cracks and crevices to hide in. Colossus description:An enormous biped. He has patches of fur on his back, and his scalp can be climbed on. Attacks: Stomping, fist smash, throwing boulders and knocking down rock piles Movement: Very rapid, but field of vision is poor, and he is easily avoided if you run out of his line of sight. Vitals: stomach, ankle, head. Agro?: No Strategy: You have to shoot arrows at objects around the cave to keep the colossus distracted. Since he has poor vision, this is relatively easy to do. Then you climb a wall in the back of the cave and whistle for the colossus. When he gets near, you jump on, diagonally jumping on his fur patches to reach his head. You have to climb onto his scalp and plunge the sword into his eye which causes the colossus to become enraged and throw you off. Then he smashes the ground systematically and rapidly looking to crush you if he finds you. He is kneeling crawling on the floor trying to find youYou would have to time and dodge his fist smashes to get behind him. You can not continue to shoot arrows, his hearing becomes attuned to your bow and draws him towards you. When you get behind him and jump on his ankle, there is a spot for the sword, as you plunge it in, he writhes in pain. As he is flipping around you have to run around and get to his stomach where you sound the death knell. ------------------- quote KngAlaric

Name: "Death Deliverer" AKA Geryon
Arena: A large snow field in the far north eastern portion of the land, behind the Desert Fortress; snowing violently; large gusts of wind; frozen lake on the northern portion of the field; a group of snow-covered trees in the southern portion; a cave in the eastern portion. Dormin's Descirption: "Thy next foe waits beyond the Desert Fortress...The sleeping beast sleeps within the frozen wastes...Do not succumb to the its threatening demener..." Colossus description: Bipedal colossi. Has no weapons, but is entirely covered in stone armor at the beginning. Armored hands with spiked knuckles. Chest plate is outlined so it can be scaled. Also has curled spike along the middle. Armor along the arms are scalable. Shoulders and back are scalable. Back is arched. The head resembles the Ogre and the Warrior Sentry a bit. Feet are hoofed shaped. Once armor is broken, fur is revealed to be icy blue Attacks: Can pick up plates of ice from the lake and throw them. Violent strikes to the ground/wall with his fist(s). Movement: Slow, like the other bipedals. But does not lose track of you very easily. Vitals: Top of head and middle of back (once revealed). Underneath a compromised portion of armor on chest in Hard mode. Agro?: Optional Strategy: It will begin with Geryon crawling out from the cave; crashing through the wall. The first thing to do is to make it back through the cave. Inside there are several ledges covered in ice. It's a small cave, but it's all you need. As Geryon follows you in, begin provoking it (whistling; arrows). Once angred enough, it will thrash at you *make sure to dodge*. If done correctly, Geryon will cause the cave to drop large stones onto it's head and back. The armor, however, is not broken but compromised. The ledge you stood on is destroyed, but several other ledges can be seen inside. Repeat process until the armor finally breaks off (amount of times vary depending on the size of the stone that falls). Once the armor breaks, force it to follow you outside again. It is now quite aggitated and begins to move with much more ferocity. The key is to hide in the group of trees. When it approaches, grab onto one of the trees (cling to the frozen moss; DO NOT CLIMB TO THE TOP--Geryon will only slam his fist on top of the tree). Make sure he see's which tree you are on. He will reach down and grab the tree. He will raise it rather high, above his head. When up here, jump off the tree and onto his head or back. When on top, the wind becomes a factor, as well as Geryon's atempts to shake you off. Crawling is the only safe way to move along him. If you stand, you risk being blown off. make your way to his back first and find the vital point (lower middle of back). Thrusts will have to be timed properly because Geryon shakes frequently. Once the vital point vanishes, make your way to his head. But take a break on the top of his arched back and recover stamina *take short breaks (stand/crouch frequently so not blown off). Once on the head, Geryon will now begin thrashing about even more violently so sword thrusts will need to be 100% precise. On Hard: Same strategy as on Normal. He will be much more violent with a lot more stamina. However there is a single hidden vital that can be pretty tricky. It is on his chest, and the only way to get it is to stab at the precise point *there is a weak point in the armor that can be peirced by a fully charged stab. Once you have broken open the armor, the vital point will be revealed. A fully charged stab is sufficiant enough to take it down. Once defeated, Geryon will fall back and partially land in the lake. re: Create a colossus |

Name: Hugin & Munin (The Crows)
Arena: Grassy plane with scattered ruins. Colossus description: Both Hugin and Munin are both large ravens. The only difference is that Hugin has a green tinge while Munin is reddish. They both have a wingspan of roughly 16 feet and are only furred on their chest while the rest is armor. Attacks: Dive, grab and drop, barrel roll, loopy loops. Movement: Flying, Fast. Vitals: Munin- Chest, Hugin- Back. (Hard-Munin left wing, Hugin- Right wing) Agro: optional Strategy: When the battle starts, the ravens will lazily glide above the area, you must get one of the Raven's attention by shooting an arrow at it. The raven that was shot will start dive and home in on your location. You can either wait or charge the colossus with Argro. Jump and grab right on the crow's chest. Fail and the crow will snatch you with its talons and drop you. (Wander can't grab the wings) Once you grabbed the crow, you can force it to go in direction or another by using the analog stick. Once you grab the colossus, the other will take notice and start tailing his twin.(the crow will start to start to fly low due to Wander's weight) Urge the colossus up to do a loopy loop right on the other crow. This will break their armor, leaving them vulnerable. The two will crash and start to get air borne as soon as possible.(after they shake off the stun) At this point, you can single one out and kill it, if you don't you'll have to kill both the same way. Now get on Argo (or run) to the nearest ruin wall and lure the colossi their. The birds will start flying low and will drive bomb you if you are out in the open. Hide in the ruins and they will circle the area, waiting for your move. If you try the same trick as before, the Raven will drag Wander on the tip of its belly on the floor. This peals you off, damages you, and leaves you open for the other raven (if it is still alive). You must hit them on the wing (Munin right, Hugin left) with arrows to have them barrel roll away from the direction they were hit. If you are near a ruin, the raven will hit it, knocking it out of the air and leaving it's vital open. Stab the vital to kill it. On hard mode, after you destroy the armor, you must do the stated above and then climb on the colossi's wing. This is done by waiting on foot for one of the ravens to dive bomb and roll so that you can jump on the wing to stab at the vital.~Atari ------------------- ![]()

Arena: An arena, floating in lava. Debris and ruins float around it. Not too far beyond the debris are structures that circle the arena. They can't be entered, but can be climbed. Colossus description: A large biped. His head is big and has a mask, that resembles the face of a dragon. His skin is a bright red color, much like lava and his hair is black, covering the top of his head, his arms and his back. His right hand carries a sword with an aura of fire. His left hand holds nothing, but the arm and hand is covered by semi-broken obsidian armor. Attacks: Sword swing, sword stab, stomp, punch, flame aura, burn. Movement: Slow, above ground. Vitals: Head, left palm, right palm. Agro?: No Strategy: The first part of the battle is annoying. You must jump over the debris in the lava and then climb up until you can go no further. Taunt him with arrows until he reaches the edge of the central arena. Unable to cross the lava, he will strike the wall with his sword It should seem obvious that you have to climb the sword, but you can't yet because of the raging flames that surround it. Instead, shoot a large root in the ceiling, but make sure the arrow goes through the flames of the sword. The root will burn and loosen up the soil that it held together. This will douse the flames. Now, walk across the sword and grab onto his arm. search for a trigger, strike it to make the colossus drop his sword. Now, climb down to his hand and strike the vital there once to make it disappear. Now quickly climb up to he shoulder and try your best to rest. After recovering enough energy, go for the head. After striking it three times, the symbol will go away. Now, here's the trickiest part. Arter recovering, head down the left arm. Search around the semi-broken armor for a trigger. Hit it. The colossus will become enraged and trike down the structures with his left fist. This will break the armor on the hand, and throw you on the original arena. Around here, you must run and find where the sword fell. You must get him to hit it with his right hand. This will make him pick it up. Now, you must taunt him to make him strike with his sword, and then climb it. Climb up the right arm, around the shoulders and down the left arm until you reach his left hand. Strike this vital one time to send the colossus to his grave. This message was edited by shao dar on Jan 18 2006. -------------------

Vitals: On it's nose, and on it's tail. Agro?: No. Strategy: It must be lead out or forced out into the open. When the sun hits it, it will become visible. Name: Frogger/Tadpole (Extra Boss number 1, only after completion of Hard Time Trials)
Arena: An enclosed (by mountains) large grassy plain with a few hills and very tall trees and a large spire (three times taller than the trees) in the center of the place. The sun shines and around the spire is in a large pool of water. In the water is a series of stands where Wanda can climb up. Land makes up half of the battle while the water is the second half. The spire is surrounded by platforms at varying heights, small spikes appear to be in between the trees, White Tailed Lizards also surround the area to aid in the battle Colossus description: A large quadreped with large hind legs and short forelegs; It's back is covered with hair while the legs are jagged rocks. A vital is immediately identified on the head while the stomach is shown to be covered in armor, the Colossus is about as tall as the trees around the area Attacks: Large Jump (creates a Shockwave on impact and squishes Wanda if landed upon, doing a large amount of damage.), Tongue Lash (whips out quickly and fiercely with it's tongue), Tackle (Tadpole jumps up from the water and tries to hit Wanda, results in 1/9 health loss for Wanda) Movement: Quick, gains small distance by stepping large distances by doing the Large Jump, swimming Vitals: A bleeding spot on each of the hind legs, while there is a killing vital on the rear, on the stomach, and another one on the head Agro?: Yes and No (Agro doesn't like water) Strategy: Agro takes Wanda to a large canyon, filled with trees. There is a winding stairway that takes Wanda and Agro to the bottom. After walking past the first few trees and a spike, a cutscene occurs. A giant frog emerges (size of Number 9, the Tortoise and the Geysers) from the lake by jumping out, sending shockwaves, tipping the trees ever so slightly. Wanda takes note of the trees as if the trees fall down, they will smush Wanda and Agro like bugs so he has to work quickly. Wanda runs around trying to get the frog to impale itself 5 times on the small spikes around the area. After that happens, a cutscene occurs. The frog is shown to flip over in pain. The armor is seen to come off from it's stomach revealing a killing spot. Wanda crawls up and stabs that, draining the Frog of about 1/4 of its health. The Frog then rights itself and hops around madly, trying to kill Wanda. (This is where the White Tailed Lizards are needed if Wanda can't climb up). Wanda then goes out to the spire by swimming across the water. The Frog jumps in with Wanda to try and kill him or to at least delay the doom. The Frog jumps out of the water and trys to land on Wanda, an attempt to submerge him in the water. The spire winds up to the sky as Wanda climbs up. The Colossus follow by jumping up onto the platforms that surround the spire and Lashes its Tongue at Wanda as he tries to climb up. Once Wanda is at the tip, the Frog jumps and climbs the spire. Wanda jumps down at the Colossus and climbs down to the Colossi's hind legs. He stabs each bleeding spot occurs and jumps off and lands on the spire (if he doesn't then a different cutscene occurs) The Frog is shown to have fallen on its back, causing all the trees to fall, fortunately, Agro is okay because he ran in fear all the way to the top of the canyon. Most of the trees then fall down except for a select few. The Frog's other armor then falls off, including its legs. A tail is shown to appear as a large, mossy rudder and two more vital spots appear, on its head and rear. The Frog drags itself to the pond and starts swimming around. Wanda jumps down off the spire and into the water. The second battle begins. Wanda must climb up each of the stands and shoot arrows at the Colossus' head. The Colossus becomes angry and swims away. The Tadpole them comes back with enormous speed and leaps out of the water to try and knock Wanda off. Wanda jumps up and lands on the Frog's back as the Tadpole lands back in the water. Wanda only gets one full stab (1/8 of health) and then the Tadpole jumps up and then dives down into the water. The Tadpole swims so deep that Wanda cannot hold on any longer. Wanda swims up and repeats that for another 5 times. Death: After Wanda stabs the Tadpole one last time, a cutscene occurs. (Opera song where a Colossus is slain starts to play) The Tadpole is shown to jump up once more, furiously wriggling, then slowing down and then lands into the water. A large wave crushes all the platforms, rocking the spire back and forth. The tadpole then floats and gets washed up on the shore. Agro comes down to congratulate Wanda, but Wanda gets infected with the Colossus' spirits and falls to the ground as Agro approaches.

Arena:a rocky chamber full of sharp jagged rocks Colossus description: a quadruped that has very poor vision but is very powerful if hit. Also has sharp horn on its head. Has body armour Attacks:a straight ahead charge, a head swipe if you get close enough Movement:fast but very unagile Vitals:only on his head Agro?: no Strategy:This is a fairly easy fight if you're good with your fingers. Find a sharp rock sticking out of the wall and position yourself in front of it facing the collossus. wait for him to charge and roll out of the way of the charging beast. The force of his ram should shatter his horn and armour showing allot of fur on his legs and back. Now you have two options of beating him, find another sharp rock and let him kill himself or make him hit a dull rock and he should stumble. This is you're chance to jump on him and knock on his vital area. you're choice. When holding on he will do a little shake to try and knock you off. He may just charge at another dull rock so be careful and jump before he hits it. His vital will take 3 full charged stabs to take him down. Interesting. Though it could use more innovation, and more strategy, I think it could work. But I'm not sure if his jumping attack would work. Only because it is made mostly out of stone and jumping that high would shatter its armor/body.
And I like it being in the open plains--the one place I wanted to fight a colossi. -------------------

Name: The WereWolf
Arena: Cave The Cave is very dark inside Colossus description: Stands about the same height as Colossi #1, the minotaur. It stands on it's hind legs and runs accross land 5X faster than Agro (at top speed) Also has armor around all it's body except for it's tail Attacks: Claw Swipe and Hind Kick Movement: On ground, and Very fast Vitals: Tail, Head, and Nose Agro: Yes Strategy: Shoot an Arrow or whistle to get it's attention, then hop onto Agro. After the WereWolf spots you, he will come jetting at you at top most speed and force. You will not be able to evade this attack, and you will lose half your life gauge. Get up as fast as possible. The WereWolf will have tumbled over and lay flat on it's stomach. Now is your chance to grab onto it's tail. Hold on and hit the vital right where the tail connects to the body. After defeating this vital, the WereWolf's tail will come off and you will fly off the WereWolf with an extreme explosion of blood. The WereWolf will fall down on it's back and the armor on it's back will break off. The WereWolf will sit up. Now is your chace to grab onto it's back. Climb up to it's head and defeate the vital, then fall down to it's nose. You will eventually get shook off before you can finish off the nose. All you have to do now is Shoot an arrow at where the WereWolf's tail once use to be and climb back up it's back after it sits down and get back to it's nose and finish off the Colossi. ------------------- ![]()
