i have read some information that they are currently working on a sequal, but all i no is that it is going to be released on the playstation 3 and maybe playstation 2

I heard that it isnt any more of a sequal than this was to Ico.

I learned a bit more since I made the previous post.

It was officially announced that SotC is the prequal to Ico.

Basically, without spoiling it for anyone still playing, the ending explains where the horned boys in Ico came from.

Ico takes place some (long) time after SotC.

it is possible to have a second one easily u dont have to have the same story each time they could just do what ff does change the story each time

As for making a second game with the same concept (small guy kills giant things, etc...) I dont think it will happen.

From what I have read of the creator, he is more of one of those guys who do things as a challenge to themselves. I.E. They already did this, so they wont do it again.

I heard the next game by Fumito Ueda will be on PS3. I heard rumors that it will be the same story line. But as we know with Ico and SotC, that just means it's probably on the same world somewhere in the time line. But there's no reason to believe the characters will be related in anyway.

well i have read alot of websites and magazines to do with a second one and its seems like it still has the giants but this time there are meant to be smaller bad guys as well and in stead of it all being set in one world its meant to be set in levels and the bosses for each level are the colossus, but the only thing that might be stopping it from being made is this other game coming out made by the makers of prince of persia

ICO took place after SotC. The closest thing we know of to a Shadow of the Colossus sequel is ICO.

wouldn it be cool if sotc 2 was in modern day n you can see people runnin away from the colossi as you go to fight it n climb up a buildin n jump on to it etc.
i know that aint there style but i'm jus sayin it would be cool

That would entirely take away the artistic feel of it.

I really hope they DON'T make another one. Seriously are there ANY games on the PS2 that are good and don't have a blody "2" STAMPED ON THE NAME? I mean the only one I can think of is "The bouncer". Way too many "2"'s for the PS2. Its sort of stupid.
