...Corrupt Queen from Ico?

My friend played Ico, and 'says' he beat SotC. He says people said (what people, I ask- he doesn't 'remember' ) the Queen in Ico (boss?) is supposed to be Mono. Can anyone confirm/add to this (what i'm assuming is really just his) theory?

I read the theory analysis guide on gamefaqs, and not a single area I read mentioned the above theory; but provided FAR better ones, which I totally agree with.

It's just internet speculation. There is nothing in the game that points to that assumption.

In fact, the most likely theory is that ICO is set hundreds, if not thousands of years AFTER SotC. My first speculation was that ICO was The Wanderer grown up (again), but that theory (according to the guide I read) was unfounded and disproved.

That's what I think too. Why go through all the trouble of having a lead die for a girl and then make her an evil entity. :\

It's not in the spirit of the games.
