Suggestions for Improvments

Did not like it? Feel cheated? Do you know that if they had just done "this" SR2 would have been so much better? Here is were to post your thoughts. This is not another flame thread however. We have enough of those. But if you think of something that would have really helped this game become better in your eyes, here is were to post it.

i would like the option to move the camera when youre in auto-face mode. im tired of it getting stuck behind a flag, sign, window, statue, etc.

i also wish that the enemies wouldnt turn with you when they're powering up a combo. if it has to be kept, then make them at least move their feet. it looks like they're on a little turn table right now.

Thanks Bloodsin,
It would of been more fun if the ememys were more interactive like they were in the first. You could pick them up and throw them on spikes in stuff, here they just disapear. It does go with the story line, but the Reaver eating up the souls before I get to em' sucked. I really didn't even use the Reaver at all, except when I was desperite to just kill what ever I was battling and get it over with. So basicaly the Reaver was usless. I found it odd that at the end you became invincible. I mean yes it would of takin a long and seemingly impossilbe time to beat your bretheren. And it did make sence with the story. I'unno, I don't think I'm complaning about it, I just found it odd. You don't find that in other games. You can't adjust anything! The screen position, move it around, that's all you can do. No control adjust, screen brightness, nothin.

auto facing should be autofacing behind him at a good distance or even centralised on the enemy, but as it is what ever angle you are in when you autoface an enemy you get as really bad fighting angle so u have to run away and change the angle.

his skills with weapons could be better you should have the option of choosing how raziel holds the weapon this would give him different moves, this would add variety to the fighting moves, instead of the left right left, left right heavy which is what its like for all the weapons

Though that would be cool it's alot to ask for and alot of work to do. I agree he should have something similiar to Kain's dark gifts, after all he was a vampire right? But no i don't think he'll ever be able to fly again, because of what kain did to his wings, and multi-player would be great, but for a different kind of game, the LOK series has a deep story into which couldn't be told by a multi-player, so i think that if there is one should be a totally different game. And as far as his camera angles, i didn't find it that bad, i still managed to defeat all the enemies, and about his bretheren, i think that the invicible part totally fit into the story, but i admit it took some fun away from the game, though i found myself reloading the game to that part, and kill of the bretheren again.

I think it's only to fit in the story: once Raziel got the Reaver in his hands, he had no choices but to die. Time was getting "pissed off" by him and Kain trying to change everything around. That is also why the Reaver prevented Raziel from going back in the spirit world where he would have been rid of the physical Soul Reaver.

Any improvements to this game would probably be minimal, since it is a very cool game, although it does need some fixing. First of all in some areas the lighting is very dim. Secondly in some areas the saves are to far apart. Last night I was venturing into the air forge and it was near midnite, I thought if I kept going I would find a save point, but there wasn't, so I will have to do everything over from last night. Finally, a little better camera control, like a zoom for instance. I love watching Raziel dodge while fighting and then move in for the decap., up close would be better.

I think in the cut scenes they should make the video graphics better the gameplay graphics and the cutscene graphics are nearly identical

I was expecting some of the stuff from Soul Reaver 1 in SR2... Raziel has lost the abilities he gained... For example, he can no longer pass through barriers like gates and stuff, there's no explanation as to where these skills went...

Um, he can still pass through barriers in the Spiritual realm, swim, and climb walls. But he did loose a few, but they weren't that important. And i'm sure he didn't loose them just didn't need to use them.

The only thing that could make the game better is the saving, I think that u should be able to save from the pause menu not having to play through the game til u can find the nearest save point.

True, but where would you resume from? In the first one you just started back at the Elder's chamber, which was sort of your haven, but where would you start from in SR2? Raziel doesn't really have a haven in SR2.
