I have every collection item, all except gen fu's rare item!!! I have spent wayyyy 2 much time playin as him and yet it never appears. It's meant to be a mahjong piece...which really doesn't help considering three of his normal items are those as well. I just want 2 no if any1 else is having this problem with the worst character in DOA. time 2 kill him off.......

Can't say that I've had a problem getting anything with Genfu... just keep at it I suppose - you'll get it eventually.

Mind you, Genfu is not the worst character in the game. I don't understand why everyone think he sucks so much...

i think its an aqquired fightin style, u either do or dont get on with it. I have now got his rare item and realised that infact he isnt that bad a character. although: he shud not b in the nxt game purely 4 the fact that he has cured his grand daughters disease....actually, quite a few of the characters dont need a REAL reason to return.

hey hey hey...keep to yourself when it regarding Hitomi. LOL

The higher the difficulty the more likely you are going to get the rare items and the further you get in survival increases your chances slightly.

Off the top of my head I cant evn remember Hitomis story, I think it had something to do with getting Hayate to return to the school. Or....was it to prove to her dad that she was strong enough to make it on her own. She can fight huge men dressed in armour and still survive..AND, she can walk on cobbled roads WITH NO SHOES!!!. wow. Bow down to HITOMI and her storyline....

Defintley. You either get Genfu, or you don't. Congrads on getting the item.

If your going into the topic of characters that don't need to return, let's take a look at Zack, Bass, Genfu, Tina, Hitomi, Jann Lee, and without Jann Lee, Lei fang. They are all really just side stories more than anything - so they will bs their story to keep them there.
