Probably because Ayane has that "bad girl" appeal to her is why you like her so much. People probably hate her because of that, and she's always trying to kill Kasumi, not to mention she secretly wants Hayate for herself too.

Well no actuelly...i like her because shes not as 'bad' as people make her out to be, that shes actuelly nice somehow, and she has a reason to kill kasumi, plus her background story i find most interesting out of all the characters

i think there are just to many Kasumi fans out there, and since ayane came 2nd people thought she was just a cheap version, so they really dont like her >_>

and she wants Hayate for herself i guess....maybe because hes the only living relative from her blood line she has who she does not hate

I'm still not quite sure why Ayane, Hayate, and Haybusa have such a vendetta against Kasumi... In the storyline, didn't she run away to find Hayate and save him from DOATEC? I'm not qute understanding why she deserves death. Personally I like both Kasumi And Ayane. Ayane's got attitude.
