CHRISTOPHE GANS DIRECTS ONIMUSHA FILM.

Silent Hill director Christophe Gans will be directing the film adaptation of the Capcom video game Onimusha with Samuel Hadida producing and Dan Laustsen as the director of photography and crew will be all Japanese and Chinese
and Takeshi Kaneshiro will be in the alone with other Japanese and Chinese cast.
Choko Sakai,Hirohisa Soda and John Collee will write the script and Takeshi Kaneshiro will co-write as well as he would work on the characters and Capcom will also will produce and work on the script supervising for the film and the story will be based on the first Onimusha game.
The film will be shot in Beijing China where that studio that Jet Li's Hero was filmed.

ONIMUSHA MOVIE PLOT.

The Coming soon website has the plot for the Onimusha film and the whole storyline is all false all this Dutch Merchant,spider ninja's and all that is rubbish and not true.
Heres the new plot for the movie.

THE PLOT:
In the 16 century feudal Japan,a warlord is ambushed by the Saito clan led by a brave samurai warrior who shoots the arrow in Nobunaga's thoart.
Now Nobunaga is now back from the dead and his clan has kidnapped Princess Yuki and to take over Japan.
Now Samanosuke and a female ninja Kaede must join forces to fight against Nobuaga and his Oda clan and to save the Princess at all cost.

The plot will be based on the Onimusha Warlords game and Takeshi Kaneshiro will star in the film.
Christophe Gans will direct and Hirohisa Soda and Choko Sakai will do the script for the film.

Because that plot is just so much better that it's not even funny.

Alright! I could get pumped for an oni movie. It would be fun to see the adaptation, and more importantly, it could stir up some interest in the old story lines of 1 and 2, and maybe the next Oni games would go back to being amazing

Hehehehehe! Go back to be amazing. To me Oni: Warlords is best Oni game because it's so different from the rest.

It has the best story line by far, but Oni 2 had great gameplay. Combine the two and you have another fine addition to the series

Yeah, I agree. You know if they had to do time travel in the Oni storyline like what they did in Oni 3... then don't go into the future of France... go back to the past of Japan or even China, therefore we learn more about the Oni, past Oni Warriors and the Oni War.

Also I would have it that Kaede lived and became a female Oni Warrior and if we're going to have a fairy like Ako then I would have her be like Tinker Bell... no lines or dialog.

Hmmmmmm? I should make a Fanfic out of that.

Its funny that you should mention tinker bell and Ako; Its not the first time that they both come up in the same sentence on the Oni forums

I like that traveling to the past idea. The Oni have always needed more development IMO.
And about Kaede, I'd rather she didnt become an Oni, just cause I really like her as just a ninja. But hell, if she would make a comeback into the series, I would be ok with her as an Oni.

Three reasons why I say that Kaede would be a female Oni (Having an Oni gauntlet like Samanosuke) would be that she wouldn't be killed (Samanosuke in DOD was able to come back from the dead), she would be able to be imnortal like Samanosuke and that Kaede and Samanosuke would have children who would be future Oni warriors.

True, it would be cool if she had a powerup.
Sam dies in DoD too? Hmm, I really should finish that game.

So am I right in saying that so far Sam has died in every game he was in so far, and has managed to come back each time? Thats pretty cool He should probably stop that though, it might not work next time.

Well at the beginning of Oni 1 we don't know if he did come back from the dead... nothing was really said or shown that Samanosuke was killed by Osric. In Oni 3... it's more like the alternated Samanosuke was killed, not the original Samanosuke. I haven't played Oni: DOD but from what I know it's like this

Tenkai/Samanosuke is killed by Hideyoshi's assault but Tenkai/Samanosuke is not dead for long. As he quotes when returning to the group after assisting them in stopping a powerful, possessed warrior named Sakon Shima from destroying their ship. His only explanation is "Hell spat me back out," meaning that he can not die until his task is complete.

In Oni 1, he died after the Fortunbras fight remember? His blood spilling on the gauntlet revived him. I think Osric just knocked him out

Oni 3, its true, it was the alternate one. Its still a form of Sam though, and he was just the same as he was after the end of Oni 1.

That whole not dying until the task is complete reminds of of Gandalf
Is there really any need for Soki and the others if Sam never dies?

It seems that he only spat out blood... or maybe he did die... or maybe Samanosuke needed to die in order for him to become full Oni, like some type of death and rebirth. I think the second Samanosuke needed to die in order for the real Samanosuke to become full Oni once again but be even more powerful.

From what I know about the story Fortinbras came back and became even more powerful. The story also has it that much of Samanosuke's weapons and powers were gone... so it seems that the others were needed. The endning of Oni: DOD has it once Fortinbras was vaporized into thin air, Soki ascended towards the heavens, vanishing from the face of the earth, never to be seen again.

Im pretty sure he crossed the line in Oni 1. Having that much blood squeezed from your internals isnt too healthy

I heard that the demon king made a comeback as well. Is it Sam or Soki that kills him this time? probably Soki, but Sam really deserved the honor more. And Im glad to hear Soki disappeared after the fight He never was my favorite.
If Soki's gone, who will fill the void in the next Onimusha?
