Cover of 2005 |
|
Do we know who is going to be on the cover of 2005? I need to know this before I do my fantasy drafts so that I don't pick that guy, knowing that he'll end up getting hurt.

Not necessarily, usually they pick the rookies or less experienced players and that fact makes them more likely to get hurt. If they had some real vets, like say Brett Favre or Michael Strahan, they probably would'nt get injured.

The last couple years it was Vick, Faulk and McNabb right, and all got injured.

quote CarlosToomerYou just proved my point CarlosToomer. And you were close, it was Vick(2004),Faulk(2003), and Culpepper(2002). But all of them had no more than 5 years of experience in the NFL(Faulk may have had more), So they still have a little bit of a way before you can call true veterans. Brady has'nt been in the league for no more than 3 years I believe so his ability to get injured is pretty reasonable. Plus, Brady has'nt played many big pass rushing teams enough in his career yet, like Green Bay,Tennesee,Baltimore, and Tampa Bay.

quoteFaulk's rookie season was 1993 if I remember right for the Indianapolis Colts . He was an established veteran by the time Madden 2003 came out as he is in the Top 5 ALL TIME IN RUSHING YARDS.

You were close. The Rams traded one of their second-round and their fifth round draft picks for Faulk.

That was a fair trade wasn't it. I wonder who they got with those picks.

If you'd read the upper part of this thread, you'd see that it's confirmed that Ray Lewis is on the cover.

should have ben Priest Holmes, Peyton Manning, Or McNair. This will probably be the last time we see a defensive player on a Madden cover for quite some time.
