quote Sam
the thing is them being on here is making people who have a talent lose out.

simon says he will judge on the bottom 2's performance, and he clearly didn't and knew what would happen by it going to the public.
He didn't say he was going to judge it purely on vocal ability, though. Regarding making talent lose out, so what, it's not only a talent show. If it was, the final 12 wouldn't have been what it was.

They're certain to release a song win or lose...be jokes if they went out soon then released one to rival the winner's, and won.

Hell yes.

And as I said to my flatmates, you can't complain about it if you didn't vote. It's the public's fault Lucie went out, not Simon's. He just likes to stir up trouble.

*bleep*ing ridiculous. I'm not fussed about John and Edward surviving, they're entertaining, but that baby-faced little prick Lloyd not being in the bottom two. Insanity.

True, but it does make this whole judge's vote thing completely pointless.

How so? Simon berates Jedward every single week and when he has the chance to put them out with HIS decision he doesn't. Lloyd, Jedward and Jamie to go next please.

re: The X Factor 2009

If the public had voted then she wouldn't be there in the first place, plus Simon's consistently said that Lucie is quite boring (with the exception of the last 2 weeks). John and Edward are at least an entertaining watch, and if Lucie is any good she'll carve out a solo career from her 15 minutes.

LOL.

Lucie was my favourite contestant, and I thought she was brilliant this weekend, but that was funny as *bleep*

True that Lucie isn't particularly entertaining, but she can sing. Jedward are crap but they're entertaining. Lloyd is boring and a crap singer too. He's got to go soon.

re: The X Factor 2009

I'm Irish, I can't vote. I rely on you British people, for one thing, ONE THING!!! And you keep Jedward in.

They're never going to be in the bottom two again, after being so close. Hopefully everyone will forget to vote for Lloyd again next week.

It's blatantly a ratings driven decision. It's Simon's show. He knows if Jedward go, some people are just going to stop watching, meaning he loses money. So he's definitely not going to go out of his way to make them leave.

It would serve him right if they won though - it would ruin any semblance of legitimacy the show once had.

Yes she wouldnt be there. But surely even you can see the hypocrisy of Simon in this? Slate the twins, slate the twins, slate the twins, chance to get them out....err no thanks. Being entertaining means *bleep* all tbh. You can't watch a performance through the radio can you. It's a singing contest, a specialised competition for vocalists. Agreee with TVI though, any credibility the show has left is slowly going with Jedward staying in over acts with vocal talent.
