Kivi is turning OK for me, has scored 2 in 3 which is not bad, I tend to substitute him after around 60 mins, mainly to keep his fitness but also Strindberg and Piliniak pose more of a threat late on in the game than Piliniak and Kivi would.

Hugo isnt too bad now either, but his control is shocking

As for my ML campaign, Im going to concentrate mainly on the Division 1 Cup, as this is my best chance of getting through to the WEFA Masters Cup which is the only tournament i have never won on the game, ive never even been in it before. Ive not got through to the second round of the Divisional Cups in this current ML which is pretty poor!

My team now is:

Ive started swapping Strindberg and Castolo quite often, and bringing Castolo on for Kivi, and putting Strindberg up front. I was going to get a right back, but i thought training 5 at a time was a bit much.

I just bought MIDO, Egyptian and he's pretty good! Not too expensive, but does headers, half volleys from corners, etc. Not bad IRL if he gets to Man City or Southampton...

I recommend him for your ML team if you want something different...

As for progress...might make the Masters Cup at this rate...Season 3, not doing too well, computer teams are so much on form it's not funny!

What's your starting eleven NTurtle? Perhaps I can recommend some good signings to strengthen your side?

I can't remember, with the PP's, how many can you sign? Think i might do an all PP squad and see how that goes if i can, just hoping there's no limit to how many you can sign at once?

Nope there isn't a limit to the PP's you can sign, at least I haven't heard of one. Just the more you buy the harder it is to get good amounts of points for them. Most I've had is 3 in the side, a GK, SMF and CF playing alongside the default squad.

Ah that's good then, i'll have a go at it later. About the points for the players, i don't actually want them to be become world class, becomes rather pointless if the team's good. Just can't really be bothered doing another one with the default players. Once you've won everything with them they get a little tiring

Indeed i am. No point starting lower and then raising it once the teams's built up, kind of takes away the point really. Doubtless i'll have a shocking first season, but so long as i survive i'll be able to try and build on it. Looking forward to starting it now actually

Well, started my PP Master League. Released half the default squad (ie the ones with high wages), and signed 9 PP's. I tried getting more but several of them rejected my offers . The next negotation period's coming up soon though so i'll be able to finish the first eleven off then.

The team's as bad as you'd imagine, currently on the kit select screen both the teamwork and technique stats are completely empty . Anyway, got off to a poor start in the league, 5 points from six games...but i'm through to the second round of the cup after beating Fulham twice. It's basically about survival this season, if i'm in the black at the end of the year i'll be happy. Just need to keep winning in the cup and it shouldn't be a problem. Next season's where i'll start thinking about challenging for promotion, for now i just want to avoid Game Over

Are you trying the default challenge Si? I have kept most of the Default players, but when strapped for cash I let a couple go, Ostwaut and Ivarov. I also let Espimas go, but bought him back with the cash I got from winning Division 2. Ive not played my ML for a while, might get cracking again today.

I cant believe you have 9 PPs!! No wonder your teamwork is none, I bet they all have poor teamwork ratings and its full of players who have never played together before! Sounds like a good challenge though, are you good enough si?!

So far...no i'm not particularly . The team's so bad it's laughable really. And no, i'm not doing the default challenge, did that ages ago (way before Zyg ever mentioned it incidentally ), i'm doing my own 'PP challenge', if you like...After the next negotiation period i'll have an entire first team of PP's. Annoying how not one of them is a central midfileder though ¬_¬

Which 2 default players did you keep in the side?

Can't remember to be honest, Ximenes (or whatever) is one, the other i'm not sure. I just did an auto-sort, stuck all the PP's in and left whoever else was in there.

Anyway, played a few more games, two in the league and the first leg of the semis in the cup. Went well actually, 4 points gained in the league bringing my total to nine (after nine games ), plus a 1-1 draw against Brescia in the cup. Currently the bank balance is around 1000, but two defeats will put paid to that...

According to the calander i should now be in a negotiation period so i can finish off the team, yet the transfer screen says i'm not
