Auto trade doesnt work

Ok, i didnt play 3rd mission, just to be free of Khaaks for a while.

I bought my SPP and set it in Kingdom's End.
Bought a plain Mercury to refit it with Crystals while i go around selling Energy Cells with my Dolphin.
I installed Trading Extensions + both trading softwares and navigation on all my ships.
I set my Merc's home in my SPP.
I set my Merc to Buy Ware at best price - Crystals
I set my SPP to buy Crystals at 1790, it says 2 jumps, so i set jumps to 4.
I put some 200.000 credits in SPP.

Results? My Merc stands still while my SPP has only 37 crystals, and there are crystals 1 sector away selling at 1684.

mmmm....my merc Stands still and well landed in my SPP.

I try to set it Sell Wares at Best Price, while i set my SPP to sell at 23.
I have 5000 Energy Cells, there are two factories buying at 25 in the same sector, but.....my merc stands still, landed.

If I cant automatize the simple wares selling/buyng, i cant go very far in the game, unless i want to pick up my old joystick and start destroying every red ship and reselling (but i like commerce more).

(btw i intalled the addon scripts, but still i cant find any of them around (Trading MK3 should be on Terracorps Headquarters, but its not there))

Ahahah... i found myself the answer, and im answering to myself in the forum for future newbies...

...autotrade scripts didnt work for me until i played the third mission...

When I started the game, I stopped playing missions after the 2nd one to be free from Khaaks and concentrate on trading... (2nd mission trick gives u 400000 credits, dont forget)

But it seems that autotrade scripts are useless until Ban Danna tells you to take time and build some stations to raise money.
And that happens right after the completion of the third mission.

Anyway, also if you dont play 3rd mission, after some time Khaaks arrive. But it was enough time, for me, to buy a Dolphin, build a Energy cells station in Kingdom's End, manage it manually for a while (the boron Dolphin loads up to 3000 energy cells, and with a Jumpdrive u can easily go finding Crystals anywhere!!!), buy a Mercury and finally a Argon Nova.

And when u have a Argon Nova, u are a happy player that can easily go on with 3rd mission, leaving then all the business to the autotrade scripts.

i have finished the third mission ' and ban told me to run stations and still my ships stay in the stations

any idea???

i dont understand what do you mean "told"

i have a SPP with argon mercury it has 70K in station and only one crystal
i set the argon on buybest and the argon mercury stays in station and doesn't buy any crystals

Ah, I see.

Well, 70k is enough fund. I think you have set your Mercury to 'Buy Best -> Crystals'. Now you must set the buying price for crystals. As you adjust the value of your purchasing price, you will notice 'number of jumps' changes too. When that values is small like 0-5, and if you set 'maximum number of jumps' for station's ships to be '5', then you will see that you Mercury will start moving when there is new supply of crystals in sectors within 5 jump gates.

ok i think im starting to understand

explain me one thing

by default the max jumps is 9
lets say for the example i set the max price to but is 1790
and it needs 2 jumps to get it , ineed to lower the max jumps to lets say 4 to make it move?

what im trying to say is the max jumps need to be close to the jumps needed?

Maximum jumps defines the maximum possible jumps that your freighters can go from your station's sector. If your station is in Argon prime and if you set max jumps to 2, your ships will go only as far as Power Circle or Red light, both sectors requiring 2 jumps to reach.

If you set a certain price and it shows a certain number of jumps, it's fine as long as that value is lower than your max jump. Because it's subjected to the availability of the goods, the number of jumps for a price keeps changing. Say for example, you set to buy Energy cells and set max jump to 9. Say you're in argon prime, at time instance 1, the number of jumps to buy energy cells at 15 credits could be 1, maybe it's selling in Home of light and no solar power plants in argon prime sells 15 or less. Now say at instance 2, some time after instance 1, the Solar power plants in argon prime produced more and the price is 14, then the number of jumps to buy energy cell is set to 0 by the station.

Of course, if you're max jump is 1 or 0, your freighter has to can't buy good from say 2 jumps away. Hope that helps.

i found the problem
my game was version 1.0
iv upgraded to 1.4 and it fixed the problem
