Errr... It doesn't contain blood. no swearing... Only violence. Robot violence and exploding parts and stuff, but noetheless violence.
Those rating offices are very picky on that.

Who knows? I doubt the story aspects of slavery and civil war had anything to do with it, but you never know. On the box it indicates simply violence. If the game had been as violent as some of the TF comics are, we would have been looking at an M rating; I kid you not. Besides, the movie did have a PG rating...

You are only half right on Japan creating Transformers (and that's a generous amount of credit). The first couple of years worth of characters and the original storyline were American creations using pre-existing Japanese toy molds. It's been a joint effort from the very beginning. Hasbro and Takara perpetuated the property after Hasbro had the original characters, storyline, concepts, etc. created at Marvel Comics. The Japanese might be responsible for manufacturing and designing the toys that eventually became Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Grimlock, and several of the rest, but those characters and stories were an American creation.

I think the reason it got a "T" rating is the people that rate the games do not actually play the games. The basic procedure is the game manufacture will send a document describing the game play and a video with highlights of the game. The ratings department will then take that info and gather a group of divorce people to poll them on what they think the rating should be based on that info. Those people probably figured since the game is based on a rated "G" cartoon figured it to be a "T" rated game.

I give it a 8.5, it's a really good game, the first time I played it, I was like cool graphics, and when you kill a robot the explosion is cool, and you get to equip different minicons. But thats only the good, and there is some bad. =/

It's the G rating that was previously stated. It's actually a Y7 rated show which is really basically G. I don't know where you come up with all this misinformation.

Proubly rated it T because of all the death with robots.




My 8 year old brother plays and has no problem.

ye have to admit, its kinda funny y'know, youre in a huge robot croud, you press the r1 button, launch a jumpstart beam, fire a few hailstorm missiles and watch the robots bloww up and see all the parts everywere. o, and hitem with a slapshot grenade and watchem fly!*laughs* and, also to see starscream ragdolled into the air!

I think it should be rated E also. I would give this game a 9.9 also.
