Has anybody noticed a growing trend with dinosaur hunting themed games? You've got Turok, Dino Stalker, Dino Crisis, A Sound Of Thunder, not to mention every Jurassic Park game ever made. Don't get me wrong, dinosaur games are fun, but sometimes I think it would be nice to try out some other variations on dinosaur related games. I mean, why is it automatically that we have to kill them all the time? How about being a dinosaur? I think there's a Jurassic Park game or two out there with that option. And what about riding them or having them as partners and team members? Doesn't Dinotopia have something like that? What are everyone's thoughts on dino games?

Well, what would you do if a huge dinosaur was chasing you? Would you rather shake its hand or shoot it with a tranquilizer gun? Dinosaurs are viewed as enemies by most people, so they would be a great enemy for a game. That might be why there is a sudden burst of dinosaur games!

Well, naturally if a dinosaur were CHASING me I'd want to do it physical harm before it consumed me, yes. However, what about some weird futuristic worlds where dinosaurs evolved into people or humans are riding them like horses or something? You know, put a little variety into it!

I think dinosaur hunting adds a horror element to the game. Dinosaurs evolving into people would make it a regular shooting game. Riding dinosaurs would make it more like a racing game. Humans and dinosaurs living in the same time period just doesn't work.
