what happened to mio after FF3? |
|
IM REALLY REALLY INTERESTED WHAT HAPPENED TO MIO AFTER FF3?SOMEONE PLS TELL ME IF THEY KNOW:confused:
WELL AS FOR MY THEORY... THERE IS A LARGE POSSIBILITY THAT SHE DIED... THINK OF IT LIKE THIS... IF MAYU'S APPARATION SHOWED UP, NO ONE WOULD STOP MIO FROM FOLLOWING IT BECAUSE KEI IS DEAD (THINK OF REI STOPPING MIKU BUT REI SAVED MIKU RIGHT?) BUT NO ONE WOULD SAVE MIO SINCE KEI DIED AND REI DOESNT KNOW MIO, UHM WELL EVERYBODY IS ENTRUSTED WITH HIS OWN COMMENTS...

Depends on your ending. If you get the normal ending (Kei turns to ash after his last chapter) then it's up in the air. Rei saved Miku by putting an end to the curse as a whole, so it's quite possible that she saved Mio as well (though unintentionally). If you get the second ending (Kei slips into the dream world after his last chapter, but doesn't turn to ash, but remains asleep on Rei's couch) then you'll see in the photos shown in the bakcground while 'Koe' is playing that Mio definitely survives, and goes to live with Kei.

I personally believe that Mio died. The 'nice' endings are never the canon ones, so the scene involving Kei's death is probably the ending that will be used for the future games.
And as you said johnzkee92... If Kei died then there is nobody left to save Mio, so Mio would die as well. I don't know if Rei is able to save Mio or not, since she doesn't know about Mio or the area of the Manor of Sleep that Kei was in. Tbh, I hope it's cleared up in FFIV. -------------------

Mio died in the first ending. No question about it. If she had lived, they would have shown her in the end credit slide show. She survived in the second ending and she was shown in a photo with Kei during the end credits.
Mio was a great character and all, but she's dead. Time to move on to miss 'I don't know her name but she's not Mio so please stop saying she is.' I liked the whole idea of a 'reunion' game (said game being FF3) but if they keep making the games feature characters from previous titles...It will turn the series into what I like to call 'Resident Evil Syndrome'. 4 was the only good reunion game with a previous character...because...Leon's friggin' hott.

I hope they at least mention what happened to Mio in the fourth game.
Sure, the "bad" endings are usually the canon ones and there's a 99% chance that she is dead, but that really shouldn't be left for the players to figure out. I thought Leon got ugly in RE4. -------------------

I like the idea of using caracters from previous games. Nothing wrong with that. It makes me wanna play the games even more actually since you already know the caracter a lil bit already. All the most popular game series use previous caracters and/or relatives of them, Devil May Cry series the best example, a DMC withouth Dante would flop.
Leon ugly in RE4 and adorable in RE2!!!! WTF Anyways, back to topic. If Mio is dead then the entire FFII -the most popular game in the series- suddenly turn totally pointless. Who would struggle to help Mio through the village once more if they know she'll die anyway? Not me that's for sure. I doubt Tecmo would just blow the air outta one of their most popular game like that.

re: what happened to mio after FF3? |
quote precioushewieWhy not? Kei obviously dies in the first ending. You just get a choice to save him in the un-cannon ending. That ultimately saves Mio... Why would Tecmo favor FFII over the rest of the series? Sure they saved Miku, but she was a main character in FFIII, Mio was not. FFII is the most popular. Sure, I agree, but Tecmo probably doesn't care. It's just how they wanted things to go. I still say Miku should have died too... Are people STILL trying to say Mio is alive?

*THIS POST COULD CONTAIN SPOILERS*
quote OutOfCakeWell, the point of the game is to show that the pain (holly-tattoo) can be overcome, specifically the one cursed by the lost of a loved person, even if they are people that succumb to it (like Yoshino) because they think there's no way out and end up tortured by their own sadness. Technically, if no protagonist is allowed to live, then the whole story would be nonsense as all struggles would be in vain; they had the choice to save either Rei or Miku since they are the ones that are more involved on the story than Kei (They were dreaming about the manor out of pain, Kei was there because Mio dreamt about him). They let Miku live to show that old scars made even years ago can heal. Kei was just there to try to support Mio into overcoming her pain, so he was free to die if it was his will. Mio... Her job was fulfilled on Crimsom Butterfly, since she was there to show that sometimes we need to sacrifice something precious to obtain another thing (She had to strangle Mayu in front of the Abyss so the eternal ceremony would end and the village was freed from the curse of the hell). She was also there in opposition of Yae; Mio gave her sister's life, but Yae's selfishness prevented that and even made her run away from the village. When Yae's spirit was put at ease, Mio accomplished her job in the story. Point: Mio is free to die, since her job in PZ3 is the same as Miku's: to show you can overcome an old pain engraved years ago. She even lost the same relative as her PZ counterpart (brother/sister). Either Miku or Mio could die or live, so the priority goes to the protagonist, and the other character (Mio) could be perfectly be left dead or alive. In addition, why would Kyouka protect a man that just looks like her lover? ------------------- ![]()
