After I played RE:Nemesis I've seen that cool guy Nemesis
in my dreams for a while. After FFrame2-no,no dreams featuring ghosts. I think this sort of dreams are just very strong impressions, and that's all. I don't believe ghosts can go from a game into real life

Me,my mum and my older sister saw a hooded man in our old house in Germany many times but I saw an evil spirit in my old house in London and I started shaking uncontrolably with fear but because my mum couldn't see it she thought I was having a fit. When I eventually told her about it she told it to leave in the name of The Lord and I never saw it again. There was also a shadowy figure of a man with a hat but that didn't bother me much.

Yes, we should always ask the Lord to rid of evil. He will always do it. As long as we request it.
Anyway, with the Ouija boards, they seem like fun things but, like others have said in this forum, it is not the best idea to mess with the spirits. We are inviting evil when we use those boards. If for some reason someone decides to, they should say a prayer, have a cross near by, or have holy water. Also, with the ghosts, I don't think I have ever seen a ghost but I might have heard them many times. I can't be sure though. Sometimes I wish I will see one, but then I don't want to get frightened like that. I think if there is a spirit in someone's house or a spirit would like to visit a house, the game of Fatal Frame (1 and 2) might kinda invite them to visit the one who is playing. But it could also be possible that the ghosts from the game stay in people's minds and a kind of hallucination may occur.

Ive never played this game (I cant take horror survival games like these, I go paranoid and psychotic for days/weeks, depending on the scare), but a lot of time I see/hear/feel the presence of a ghost.Ive only ever really been haunted twice, and only briefly. The first time was at my old apartment. My parents were watching tv in the other room down the hall, and I was sleeping in their room.Next to the bed where I was facing was a partially opened window, and outside was a tree.I was haveing trouble getting to sleep that night, and so decided to see what the tree kinda looked like (you know, like trying to see pictures of video game characters in the leaves), and that kept me entertained for a second. For a second, the leaves seemed to rustle in the wind, although there was no wind outside. Then, suddenly, I saw a picture of an old woman in the leaves, heard the drawers behind the bed open and shut, and heard a voice call my name. I couldnt run, because the direction where the sounds had come from was where the door was, too. I was too afraid to scream, so I did the only thing I could think of to do; faint. It never happened again after that, but later in my life, watching an old movie with my deceased grandmother in it, realised it was her voice. The second time,we were at our new house for the first week. my dad wasnt home, and my mom was outside swimming. I went to get a snack from the fridge, and heard what sounded like chairs moving upstairs, as though someone was dragging something heavy around, ya know? I figured it was a robber, not a ghost. So, out I went to fetch my mom. I got the phone with 911 punched in in case it WAS an armed robber or a crackpot and I needed the police fast, and my mom had a golf club. But when we got upstairs, nothing. We checked under beds, behind shower curtains, even checked for loose windows that the theif may have made a hasty getaway through, but nothing. Whats wierder is nothing had been moved at all. -------------------

quote Drusilla120Pardon me but that is completely ridiculous. But congratulations on being the first person in about 20 posts to spell the damn word right - it's "Ouija" and the way you remember it is that it is "Yes" in French, then German. (The changing the pronunciation to "Weejee" is an American affectation that has no basis in the actual word's spelling or its origins.) Ouija boards work because once a random sequence of letters becomes even slightly apparently non-random, everyone will start filling in the blanks in the way they expect it to be - which will certainly help the person who may be pushing the pointer a particular way. Topic of discussion - the Fatal Frame series remain the only games to give me serious nightmares. There's something almost diabolical in the way the designers have absolutely honed in on the primal fears of every human and made it real - by use of minimal lighting, the creepiest music and sound effects in the world, and bits of animation, both in-game and in cutscenes, that really serve to terrify you to the absolute marrow. And I find it notable that after an extensive session on the game late at night (as I had last night) will for me be followed by imagery from the game pursuing me into sleep. Big P.S. - there are no such things as ghosts - every one of your experiences came out of your own heads. And you're not nuts - it's a perfectly naturaly outgrowing of our survival mechanisms built into us by evolution. This message was edited by Silas on Jul 12 2004.

i believe ghosts do exist. There must be somwthing beyond death. How can life ( a precious thing) end so quickly and once it's gone it's a s if it never existed cept in our memories.

Wow this is some interesting topic.. I might be a little late on entering it though but heh I love replying to anything! XD
Uh after fatal frame, I cant say much on ghosts appearing after and what not. I think it would be more of a sense of you fear getting to you.. cause believe it or not that does happen. Some times peoples fear creeps up to them, and it can be devastating. So anyways as for believing in ghosts? I don't know.. I keep an open mind to anything. I mean ANYTHING, but as for believing in it fully? I don't have a clue I have never been able to come to terms with that. Mostly for a lot of reasons, being religious ones. Yes I am religious, christain may it be. But hey! Doesn't mean I still cant have a some belief in the super natural or spiritual world. I think though the most reason that backs it up. Would be if you wish to call it a sixth sense then I suppose I have one.. Reason I think so is because, unlike a lot of people I can tell when someone is going to die and usually when. This has happened with my relives: grandma, grandpa (some one I actually barely knew), a kid at school, and even a nabor, and of course pets. But even still, you know how a lot of people can tell it with even sick people like my grandma. I thought since she was sick it didn't count. Well there was this time when I had this really bad feeling about my father. I kept it to my self, and yeah I knew what it was. And then later he of course passed away, we found out the day the pastor of our current church came. And I knew already when I saw them what they would say. (FYI not looking for sympathy.) Anyways, I think for the most part it has been passed down if I want to give it that sort of title, through my family. My mother says she will see the person after they pass away in a dream, they will tell her its alright and so forth. I cant ask my grandparents on my mothers side about it since they are already gone. But its my assumption on it, that its passed through my mothers side. Anyways enough with my long posting and ramblings. Believe what you will, its hard to believe in stuff that cant be explained but isn't that the fun in it all? ------------------- ![]() Sign my guest book please!

in truth, spirits respond to our everyday action. the fog that holds the two worlds at a distance from eachother thins and we see aparitions, we feel a presence, etc. survival horror games, reading books on the subject, anything that draws our attention to the otherworld acts as an acknowledgement to the other side. it creates an energy, sort of like a beacon to those inhabitants beyond the realm of our understanding. long story short, the more you learn, the more they come to you, the more you notice them. nuff said

I just noticed this in the first post, and I thought I ought to comment.
quoteI don't want to leave this to give a misleading idea of what game AI is. Artificial Intelligence in the current state of technology is simply a misnomer. There is no such thing as a true Artificial Intelligence. What there is is Simulated Intelligence. In games, you, the human player, are up against computer-generated enemies. Their behaviour, called AI, is in fact little more than a calculation comparing the XYZ positions in the 3D matrix of your character (or the camera) and the enemy character. If the enemy is facing the wrong way, the animation to turn the character your way is initiated. When the enemy is close enough, it might trigger the "attack" animation. A good AI might take into account your movement and try to predict where you will be by extrapolating your position. That's all AI in games really amounts to - relatively simple maths. No haunting external to the console required or remotely possible.
