So what is everyones favorite color to play and why?

I like blue becuasing of all the flying creatures and all the confusement blue duelists can give you by stealing spells, cloning creatures,unsummoning creatures, etc. I also like red an green alot becuase of the damage and power increasing spells they posess.

I am favoring red right now, like the inferno or theaten - hehe.
I also like goblins, too bad they don't have goblin grenade spell (Blows up one of your goblins for 5 damage).

Goblin Grenade in this game would be unstoppable... cast 4 raging goblins and 4 goblin grenades and you win. Alotof spells would never be placed in this game just because if you had the power to cast them constantly, they would be unstoppable. Also why they changed the mana cost of giant growth from 1 to 2 mana.

Hey as with giant growth they could change the grenades rules too, IE: more many cost, less damage or even only deal damage to creatures. You take too much literally Cade.

As they say in the manual, this game uses the same mechanics, but other things fundamentally alter certain aspects of the game.

What reasons would I have to not take it literally? If yer not taking it literally, you may aswell be summoning purple cows. Personally, I quite enjoy magic the gathering, and was expecting alot more from this game. It could have been made SO much better.

OK lets say the goblin grenade was exactly like in the game, you could use your mana shield to drop the damage to 2 a hit, and casting all grenades would leave you open for your opponents attack.

Therefore not even as close as powerful as you first suggested.

sure it would, it produces too much damage too easily. and shielding would only reduce the damage to 3 and cost the defending player a mana. and if it were in the game, you could still use the creatures you sacrifice to block, just wait til they enter combat, then cast the grenade, since all sorceries act as instants. Then you would block your opponents creature, causing it to respawn, and still manage to pull off the grenade.

I like green, they tend to like to increase the strength of your existing creatures, that's always a big help.

There are spells to stop you from building up an army. You could cast infest to wipe them all out, Or kill your own Deaths-head buzzard, or engulfing flames the goblins away. Also if you use your shield right it doesn't take much mana (FYI the grenade will only do 2 damage 1/2 rounded down).

As with all variants of magic game there is a tendancy of cards to balance each other.

Ya green has its bonuses, I like getting the mana shards from the elves. Always helps in a pickle.

For increasing the strength, Reds reckless charge does the trick too.

Red is my favorite (weird, my favorite COLOR is red 2....) I mean, you can just do major damage. Its more of a hands on type deck.

Personally My Favourite Would Have To Be A Mix Of Blue And White. Reason With Blue You Have Sweet Combos And White You Can Restore Hp And Little Mana For Some Good Monsters.
My Trick Is Too Use 2 Of The Dudes That Give Your Monsters A 0/+1 Hp And Then Use A Suntail Hawk
So They Will Waste Their Time Casting A Monster To Attack It Since They Cant Kill IN One Shot. When There Castine The monster I Use Mana Drain And Use Like 2 Angels So I Get 10 While They Lose 10 I Have others

red because they have better moves.

Mine Is White/Green Custom i Use The White For The Flying- Especially The Angel That Gives Health Back And Then Green For Spells i use Overrun And Giant Growth So It Doesnt Stop Until It Hits The Main Person And Sucks Like 20 Life Lol
