I accidentally lete some files from my computer .. I was trying to delete a smartftp folder from my computer and I right clicked on a file that ended with .dll. I changed it so that it opens with notepad, now every .dll file opens with notepad. ><

How can I fix this so that it goes back to it's normal state?

I know it's buried in the registry somewhere (Found parts of it), but I can't seem to find it all to help you revert it manually. A system restore should fix it though.

I tried doing a system restore but I found out it was turned off for some reason.

I could reinstall vista again but I really don't wanna go there.

reinstalling vista is a step too far. so what if all dll files open with notepad? what regular computer user opens dll files anyway?

its normal state is to ask you what program to open it up with, so dont worry about it. any program that needs a dll file will still be able to access then normally.
