I have spotted your problem: quote Zhou Tai RocksLol, I found this. It's a boot disk for XP. You should be able to access System Restore from it. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=15491F07-99F7-4A2D-983D-81C2137FF464&displaylang=en ------------------- quote

you know, its not really windows thats the major problem (well maybe...you judge from this next statement). i believe that its the uses fault for not knowing what to do to prevent or fix a problem. maybe thats why people hate windows. inexperienced and assuming that the OS should fix itself. and its probably why people prefer macs...because of that simpler, more user friendly interface. but look, thats just my opinion, and im windows all the way -------------------

Well if system files were deleted by AVG because they were infected you will need a windows cd to fix it (or to reinstall totally). -------------------

quote LinkMaster03That only allows you to boot the CD via a Floppy Drive (Older PCs don't allow booting from CD), you still need the XP CD itself to use them. I'm unsure of how well Windows is working, but if you can get into the system and use it a bit, try going to Start> Run, and type cmd /k sfc /scannow This will scan for damaged/missing system files, and restore them (You may need to insert the XP CD at some point if it asks). ------------------- ![]()

Far from it. Firstly, Windows has WAY too many safety "features". Sometimes you can't even delete folders... Mac is just for pure idiots. Secondly, Windows is very resource hoggy and unstable. Get Linux. quote hiigaran ------------------- quote
