Hi guys, hope this is the right forum.

Basically, every time I open up Firefox, I'm never signed into any websites and I have to manually sign into Neoseeker/Gmail etc. (though the autocomplete is on). Is there anyway to amend this? Could there be a virus on my PC? I run daily scans and get nothing, and I recently cleared my tracking cookies.

ok on firefox go to Tools>Options>Privacy tab and see if the cookies are being blocked

Nope, I can accept cookies from 3rd party sites, there are no exceptions and they're kept til they expire.

I seem to be having similar issues, but it's only for certain sites. I've never been logged out of Neoseeker since I got FF3, but for many other sites, I have to log in manually even if I set it to log in automatically.

I might just reinstall FF2 if this problem persists.

if its fixed with firefox 2 then its a bug in firefox 3. if so, then a fix should be out soon. for those sites that dont remember you, are there any 'remember me' checkboxes, and have you selected them?

Site with autocomplete uses cookies. Be sure to exclude the cookies used by those sites. Go to privacy options, cookie tab. Do the same with your cleaner if it offers cookie exclusion.

Sorry if I was unclear lord monkey. What I meant was: "In order for autocomplete to work for a certain site, you must exclude the cookie(s) used by that site from being deleted by firefox (manually or after closing) or other cleaners (with cookie exclusions)."

I tried that, blocking the cookie from Neoseeker and it just made it impossible to log into my.neoforum. :S

I am talking about excluding cookie deletion by domain.

Just uncheck 'Allow sites to set cookies' then add neoseeker, etc to your exception list. Or you can just use add-ons like

Didn't work either, unfortunately.

Don't run any cleaner (windows washer, etc) after your surfing. Use Firefox's 'clear private data'.

Go to Tools, Options, Privacy, Cookie Tab.
Check 'allow sites to set cookies' (my bad i told you to uncheck)
Uncheck the 2 boxes below it
In keep cookies dropdown menu choose 'until I close firefox'
Click 'exceptions'. Add neoseeker.com, etc then 'allow'.
