	I had bought this laptop in February, came with Vista. I had reinstalled Windows XP a few months ago. Everything works good except to things. When I try to change the brightness by the FN key, they don't work, and when I change the volume by the fn key, it works but the display doesn't pop up. When I had Vista, then I change the volume by the FN key, something would popup to tell me the volume level. That's not a big problem. I need to know how to change the brightness without the FN key. I believe I've done it before but forget how. If anyone knows how to fix this, it would be great. I have a SONY VAIO VGN-NR260D. ------------------- Vote For Katts and Dog on DVD!!! 	Right click on your desktop go to properties. When that window comes up there should be 5 tabs click on the one that say settings. Now click on advanced now depending on what kind of video card you have there should be a tap saying your graphic adapter click on it. Some where in there will be brightness.

	You'll need to download a small utility from Sony, updating your video card drivers won't help. The VGN-NR260E is the closest match I can find on the Sony website, and their descriptions of what all the downloads do are a little vague. It should be one of the utilities here. -------------------

	There is a bar at the top, where it says choose your operating system. Make sure it's on XP, then choose what you need. -------------------

	You dont need to download anything. If you just go to the settings you can adjust the brightness.

	I've checked the settings, can't see anything for brightness. I should just be able to FN + F5/F6 for brightness, now what do need to download? ------------------- Vote For Katts and Dog on DVD!!! My laptop still has Vista blood!

	When you go into the control panel, there should be something for Mobile PC, and there's where you should be able to change the brightness. -------------------
