Turn on computer=Computer Noise? |
|
The second time today, when I turned my computer on, it made this wierd start up noise and now it is making this clicking/humming noise. What is wrong with my computer? It appears to stop after a couple of minutes, but it still worries me.

It may be your fans, try tightening the screws. Mine do it from time to time.

ok well clicking is most likely your hard drive heads rapidly moving, which should be normal. humming might be either your cd drive (you may have a cd in there), or your fans going at high speed. as for the 'wierd startup noise', can you go into more detail? is it like a beeping noise when you turn on your computer? if so, youll need to tell me how many times it beeped, and in what pattern (short, short, pause, long...and so on), plus the make and model of your BIOS. if it is not a beeping noise, then tell me what it is.
