Adding Visual Styles.

If this is the wrong place, feel free to move it or delete. But it seems like a good place to ask.

So im wondering how can I add some visual themes? I am using Vista and I would like to change the regular style to say something like this.

Also if there is any additional info that I need to know that would be great if told. I ran windowsblinds on my old computer and that slowed it down drastically. So if there are any effects or causes by doing this I would like to know.

re: Adding Visual Styles.

This site basically tells you all you need to know.
You need to patch a few files so you can run unsigned visual styles.

After applying the patch, download the theme from deviantart and put it into:
%systemroot%\Resources\Themes

re: Adding Visual Styles.

I wanted to do exactly the same, and I would really advise you to go down my route.

Download VistaGlazz, follow the instructions, install and patch your files (Just one click of a button, its automatic, no manual moving of files.) Once installed, use this guide on how to install Vista visual styles.

And voila!

re: Adding Visual Styles.

Also is this possible for windows 7 Cause I saw themes for windows 7. Is it the same process for 7 as it is for vista?
