I've been using Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1 for the last few months, but never ran it enough to find it worth upgrading to Beta 2. Just recently though, I have tried to upgrade "for the heck of it" but can't thanks to a little notification upon installing stating I must remove the existing version of IE7 from my computer in Add/Remove Programs.

Herein is where the problem lies. IE7 is not listed anywhere in Add/Remove, so I cannot delete it, and therefore cannot install IE7 Beta 2. No, I will not restore back almost 4 months just to revert back to IE6, since I've installed many, many other software and system components since then.

Any other way I can solve this?

These are instructions for uninstalling Beta 2 but it might be the same for 1:

# Click "Start," and then click "Control Panel."
# Click "Add or Remove Programs."
# Check "Show Updates" at the top of the dialog box. (If you are running Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview - March 20, or a newer version of IE7, this step is not necessary.)
# Scroll down the list to "Windows XP – Software Updates," select "Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview," and then click "Change/Remove."

Obviously replacing Beta 2 with Beta 1 where applicable.
