Neoseeker's Review of R: Racing Evolution

Namco hooked us up with the XBOX version of the game for review. This means I was able to check out that nasty H1 and see what it was made of. =/ while it looks cool it gets murdered by the rest of the WRC lineup XD guess it's more of a show item in the game.

Here's the article [Link]

I've been playing almost nonstop so if you have questions about unlocks or anything just give a shout.

Also for those looking to find a dominating GT1 level car get the McLaren F1. Event mode -> Tournaments -> #8 it's a long series if I remember right but it's well worth winning as nothing else really comes to touch it.

Also for those seeking quick race credits get through story mode up to the drag races. Pick the Charger R/T as your car as you'll win it after you complete the chapter. After you win it do the following.

Go to event mode into the Vs. Series to #7 on Surfside reverse against the RX7 - Time your RPM's to about 5200 RPM and let loose right as the light turns green. At about 35 feather the gas and get back on it so the car speeds up. Draft off of the RX7 until the Nitro is ready then hit the Nitro and pull around so you don't hit the car. You should be able to win the Drag RX7 and 100000 points. Every time you race him after that you continue to get 100k points as well. Use that to buy or fix up your cars when you don't feel like doing mass amounts of track racing to get the money.

Alright, I'm sold. I'm going to shop around for a wheel first but as much as you talk about how addicitive this game is in terms of playing it, I'm definitly going to pick this up later this month.

Hey, I finally noticed that you've uploaded a few new reviews, boy I am always late to the party. Anyways like your Gran Turismo 4 p/review my favorite parts of this article are the gameplay impressions, they definitely give them that personal touch that I enjoy reading in reviews. You should share some more in your future endeavors. Good job lad!

I [icked up the game the other day and I love it...The graphics on a 1080i TV will make a nerd drool. I love it. And the gameplay is eccelent. Although the difficulty settings are VERY different and the story mode is EXTREMLEY short, the game is a Ridge Racer Eccelency.

I picked up this game myself. Now I just plan to purchase a good wheel before I use it to immerse myself in the experience and finally have some 'real' control over the vehicles.

I'm sorry . . . i may like the review and am tempted by the good gameplay . . . but does she really have to walk around with her jumper half open?

That's only in story mode. only 14 races like that. Afterwards you have a hundred or so independent races where you never have to see anyone else again and you just hear people talking smack to you >_<

Here's a guesty-type question for you...

I've had this for about... Four days now, having a ball. (It seems like you have to have never played the earlier versions of Ridge Racer to enjoy this, from what I see of the 'big name' review sites.) Got the Charger, got the GT500. I found the GT500's GT2 version; I'm wondering where you get the Charger's GT2 version.
