Well this sucks as I was just making plans on buying what I needed to go online with my PS2 to play this game. But now that I hear this I suppose that I should just save up for the PSP and MH:F

omg i hate capcom i just got online for the first time the other week and i have had the game for 2 years and it is awesome i am gonna sell my px2 buy a psp and get monster hunter freedom 2 who is w/ me ???

I'm not with you. Cuz MHF doesn't have online so I don't care about it. I'll be with you if they ever add an online patch, or if the next MHF has online. But solo hunting is not Monster Hunting IMO.

The selling point of MH is online play, if they shut it down then good-bye. Offline sucks on MH.

I already knew about that. In case you can't tell I'm a MH fan. Hi, how ya doin? You need a PC to do that. (which I don't have) And there is nothing "simple" about that. You also have to spend more money for the wi-fi Max and you also have to hack your router, and if not done correctly can brick your router. I want MHF to be online right out of the box, without me hacking it, or having to have a complicated setup, and do all these steps. I want to be able to hunt online while at any access point I want, when it comes to the PSP MH games. It would have not been hard at all to put infrastructure in either. It feels like it's already set up for it, but it was just taken out. And I wont but MH on PSP till it does have infrastructure multiplayer. And in all honesty I don't want to settle for MHF at all. I want MH on my console.

well guys... lol our forum... is well. gone. this sucks. i only get on neo for this... i mean. when the online is gone. so do the newbies. so does our forum. there would be like ... 1 new message a week.

Then you don't look carefully enough, what can I tell ya? And if i wanted to hack my router, which I don't, I couldn't do it anyway cuz I don't have a PC, my PS3 is my PC. And you shouldnt have to hack your router just to play a game online, that should be online anyway. If Call of Duty and Medal of Honor can have 32 player online on a shooting game on PSP, it isn't too much to ask for MHF2 to have a measly 4 player co-op.

Well you have to realize this is Capcom we're talking about. They make something wonderful and great, then at some point drop the ball entirely. It's sad but to be expected that the PSP versions wouldn't have the kind of online play we dream about. But being that there is a way, we should be greatful for at least that don't you think?

Anyway, I heard the news today from another hunter. *bleep* Capcom, *bleep* their damn Wiis, *bleep* their damn servers. I feel like shooting one of them. The least they could do after this debauchery is bring us MH2 or MHFO so we can still have fun with comrades around the continent. And they better.

How can you say my opinion isn't much without saying the same about yours? How do you know I wouldn't follow the series just as you do? How do you know I'm not as much of a fan as you are? If he doesn't want to go continental via MHF2 then he doesn't have to. He wasn't asking for a discussion. He was stating that he dislikes the fact that it isn't as simple to get online through the PSP. End of story.
