I am not really sure where you can get monster fluid at. If you can tell me I would be greatful.

use a Poison shot Lv.1 in a bowgun, and shoot a vespoid
thats basically it.. but its a little unlikely to find.. its rare.

or use a low power poison wep

I always do the "Attack of the Giant Bugs" quest with the Hydra Bite sword and shield. I tend to get enough Monster Fluids doing that.

is it easier to get them of hornets?

Yea I am slowly but getting to the hydra sword and shield, but cost so damn much.

I think "Attack of The Giant Bugs" is great, but not for bowgun. because you only have limited poison ammo.

hydra bite would be great. maybe this one will help.

May be you should make some preparation first to get your weapon . But I think it's better to do it after you do not have financial problem (except you would like to getting money by selling Vespoid Sheel or Wing, what a pity though).

There is plan B. you can do the "Help for the festival" quest (I do it), or maybe onother "easy" quest, in forest and hills map. What i mean easy is you don't need to finish the quest by fighting a monster cause you'll using "weak" bowgun. (I do'nt like using it, I prefer my Siegmund ).
Back to the topic, use bowgun and bring poison ammo as much as you can. Go to area 4, and stand on the mouth of the rathalos cave. there will be a vespoid. just shot once with your ("really deadly poison") gun and... that vespoid would take a good nap. just carve it (hopefully you get monster fluid from it).
The best part is, after you kill that one, the other one will appear from the mouth of the cave (you should be ready). This will always be repeated so you have INFINITE STOCK VESPOID to kill and carve and you DO NOT HAVE TO BE DISTURBED BY THE OTHERS WHILE YOU'RE CARVING IT.

May be it's also nice to do it with hydra bite, but I've never try it. I don't have it yet, though I have all the required items. I would like to do it later.
