Ineed to kill the rathalos to get on to 5* quests! i have plesioth legs, torso, arms and helm, my weapon is a dragon agito but i am 2 wyvern fangs off golem blade. how do i get them? money is no problem as i have almost 40,000z! could you also tell me which items i need to take with me to kill it. No matter how hard i try to kill it i never can kill it in its nest! I can chop off tail but cant kill it! Please help guys!

Killing Rathalos is hard. I recommend to use Deathprize ( Hunter' Knife improved ). You can search other tips in this forum about items needed, how to use trap etc. And the most important thing is You musnt let Rathalos sleep. You have to keep push him.

Flash bomb---> If you have flash bomb problem you can throw it behind yourself. As long as enemy face you it will work. When flash bomb effect is over Rathalos will scream and shakes his head, At this moment throw another flash bomb and so on.

thanks. But every time i start to own it it runs away to another zone immediately and starts healing. when ever i get it near death it starts to sleep immediately in zone 5. what is the best attack i can do on it when it is sleeping? i now have a cephalos helm. Thanks in advance!

I admit it is not easy and when Rathalos sleep you can set trap and place 2 Large Barrel Bombs with 1 small barrel bomb.

When you kill the Rathalos you will defintely get Wyvern Fangs. When fighting the Rathalos he always starts in 3, goes to 10 and then to 9, then he goes back and forth between 4 and 9 (most of the time) so if you can catch him before he lands its beneficial because you can be waiting for him in the area, when he starts limping go straight to 5, don't even try to hit him anymore, you should be able to get there befoe he lands if you go fast, kill the velociprey and then take him out, basically, try to get to where he's going before he gets to sleep, hope that helps

Try getting a Great Serpentblade. It is another great sword, is pretty easy to get, and can take you through most if not all of the game. I'm not sure, but I thnik that it is better than a Golem blade, too.

If I remember right, the Dragon Agito line needs a Blos Fang in the near future. A Blos Fang is gotten from the Monoblos, which is the last regular quest in the game, gotten in a urgent quest after you have completed so many 5 star quests. The hardest thing to get that a Great Serpentblade needs is a Lightcrystal which is gotten as a rarer drop from the Gypseros. The Great Serpentblade has 634 attack power and great sharpness.

The Dragon Agito line is eventually better, but you are going to need to find something good enough to take out the Monoblos and I don't think the Golem Blade would quite make the cut.

Getting the great serpent blade, is great advice. Also we sometimes forget to listen to our elders. meaning the old man in the forest.He teaches us if we listen. He said early on how no matter swift,or strong the wyvern is large,and small barrel bombs take them down fast. Rathalos needs to stay on the ground to be rent asunder. In order to do this you need 5 flash bombs and the materials to make 10 more,also 3 large barrel bombs and their materials to make 10 more.finally 10 small barrel bombs.and now you have the secret to kill all monsters.
1st through a flash bomb ,blind him, run up between his legs
drop 2large barrel bombs and asmall barrel to set it off. You have enough time to come back drop 1 large and a small
barrel bomb,and watch him fall on his head and wimper.now do this over and over again. make/combine what you need as you go.do this and use the great serpent blade and you got him. flash bombs keep him on the ground, so blow him up or cut him up then enjoy the rewards.

Try flashing him when he is hovering in the sky or at least NOT in rage mode cause i think he tends to randomly attack more in rage mode EVEN when flashed. Oh, and try to let him sleep first than plant 2 Lg Barrel Bombs by his head and make them explode with a Sm Barrel Bomb cause if i remember correctly, damage done to a sleeping wyvern is multiplied by 3 times.
