Can anyone help.

I have installed the progamme onto my laptop and I can't get it to run. I click on the desktop icon and all it does is bring up the Bloodlines logo then the screen flickers and it closes! I did at one time get it to run but can't remember how, but I had to uninstall it at one point due to space on my computer. I now have an external hard drive and I am installing the game onto my onboard hard drive and it just won't start.

Help!!!

I don't know what I'm doing wrong? I have windows XP but have tried running it in 2005 mode, I have changed screen resolution, turned off all firewalls and virus scanners etc. There are no programmes running in the background. I have enough RAM and disk space. I have the correct sound card and everything.
