re: Unbelievable immense loadings!!!!!!!!!

The RAM is more important though. I have a top end computer but only 512Mb of RAM, and it bottlenecks about it quite badly. Plus RAM is Bloody cheap at the Mo.

I agree ram is more important, but imagine how game will look like with that graphic card...

re: Unbelievable immense loadings!!!!!!!!!

This game requires quite a lot more than is listed or posted on anythins. I have Athlon 64 2hz, 1024 mb ram, and Radeon x800 256mb and still, hollywood lags like hell when im using obfuscate or protean. And sometimes without disciplines at all. Must be a graphic bug with ati cards or something.

re: Unbelievable immense loadings!!!!!!!!!

I've been living under a rock when it comes to FPS games, but even to me it seems this game has some pretty heavy loading times considering how not-large the maps are. My machine isn't new but it ain't crap either (p4 3Ghz, fx 5700, 512 ram).

The engine seems a tad jerky at times, but again I'm no judge of FPS games. It looks good enough to me, but yeah I wonder about the load times too.

re: Unbelievable immense loadings!!!!!!!!!

Subsequent loads are quite a bit faster. Looking back at your specs, I can see your problem. Not only do you have too little ram (512 Mb is kinda the accepted minimum nowadays), but the mx series of gfx cards really suck. I had one previously, I know.

Do yourself a favour and get a new one. Since you're complaining about the price, the lower end fx 5000s (like the 5700) should be damn cheap now. I dunno about ATI, for some reason I don't like them

With my current setup, subsequent loads are a tad slow than other games, but nothing like minutes. More like 10+ seconds. People with Gb sized ram and the latest 6800s might see half of that, perhaps less.

re: Unbelievable immense loadings!!!!!!!!!

i'd also say to get more ram and upgrade the graphics card...i have 1gb... and a geforce 6800gt....and the loading is slow enough in my opinion with those specs...so i'd imaging that older cards, less ram would make it very very bad...

I build systems for people to make money, and looking at what you have, i say get another 512 megs of ram. The rest of your things should be fine.

re: Unbelievable immense loadings!!!!!!!!!

since im on a school computer now i cant tell you the exact amount of my hardware, but it was atleast 3 times higher then the needed for quality playing, but it stillf take long enough to load, that why i usually have my gameboy or a deck of cards around, especially when your loading the outside takes a long time, so my suggjestion is just take out a book and do somthing to pass the time, since the loading is inevitable.

ps: wouldnt anyone else rather have a half hour loading time when you start the game and be able to pass seamlessly through the rest of the game without loading?

re: Unbelievable immense loadings!!!!!!!!!

I'm running a lowly AMD Athlon XP 1800+ (1.533ghz) 896mb DDR and Nvidia FX5200 128mb grahics card. Running with bump mapping off and most grpahics settings to between half and full and she generaly runs fine, load times are usualy less than 15-20 seconds going in or out of buildings. Santa Monica rain gives a bit of hassle, as can fighting on the street(bloody vampire hunters), but its nothing too bad. Wish I had the cash to upgrade again...
