Game is patched and this is the first time it has crashed to desktop. Killed the two defenders of the sarcophagus, there is then a cut scene showing your character loading up a van and driving away and the next section begins to load but it crashes everytime to desktop at about 75%. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling. Is there a way I can load the next section via console? If I do will I lose my stats and inventory?

The next cutscene is with Lacoix, wasn't it? Try a console code that takes you to his place. I have no idea what his place is called, but changelevel2 should send you there.

Try inputing "changelevel2 la_hub_1 taxi_landmark" at the console, most probably it'll dump you in front of his building, but I have no idea if the game will remember what's next when you go up to see Lacroix.

Thanks for reply. Will I be able to enter this during the cutscene? The game goes straight into that cutscene after you have defeated the two bad dudes?

That's the thing, I have no idea. The fix it was originally meant for landed you back in town, and you had to go meet Lacroix for the story to continue. I don't know what it will do to your game.

Best case scenario, you go up to meet Lacroix, cutscene continues. On the other hand, the quest could simply be flagged finished, and you get the next quest it leads to. Worst that could happen, end up in town, quest unfinisheable.

Can't edit post... anyway, I missed your point (lol). Just as you kill the brothers and the scene starts fading, open the console. I don't think you can open it during the actual sequence.

Well it didn't work - I warped to downtown using the given console command but nothing happens when I try to speak to Lacroix even though quest log says I have completed the giovanni mission. My inventory was also cleared out. Guess I'll just have to reformat and start from scratch :-(

Na, if your inventory was wiped means you consoled too early. That's what happens with the Society of Leopold fix as well - if you get wiped there, they tell you to get closer to the boat.

Too early? I used the console a few seconds after the van scene starts as console does not respond after the fight is over. Are you saying wait until the van scene is almost over, as it drives away? Could cheating have caused this crash? When I started the level, my lockpicking and seduction were too low to get a guest to open door or lock pick it so gave myself sufficient seduction points to get throught the door.

Hmm, in that case I can't help you, the only thing left to try is changelevel2 to the location of Lacroix's penthouse suite so that you jump to the next scene, but we don't know that.

No, editing your stats shouldn't affect the game. Did you use the max stats codes? I used giftxp and assigned the points manually just to be on the safe side. I did try a huge number of points but that didn't break anything.

Yea, used "giftxp 30" and manually entered them...

Fixed this problem by using giftxp in chinatown before going over to giovanni mansion so it would seem that this level is particulary sensitive to console cheats.

...although I don't think the codes have anything to do with the crashes. I tried inputing '999' during various moments and had no problems.
