Which ending is this one, I forget. Who did you side with? Recall the conversation with the cabby.

Well the winged boss is the sheriff. I believe. You really want to know what happens?

Let me tell you my side of the story. I sided with the anarchs, and killed both Ming, and Lacroix. The thing is you don't really have a final battle with Lacroix. You fight a few vampires with steyr augs that look like him. Then when you finally go upto his room, you talk to him. He asks you to hand in the key. Since I killed Ming, I had the key. You get a few choices. You can give him the key and leave, you can open the chest yourself. The thing is you stab Lacroix with the blade always on the table in front of him, before you get those choices. I tried 2 things. First I tried opening the chest, and found that it was filled with C4's... then I died with Lacroix. Then you see Jack sitting and talking to the dead king that was supposed to be in there. Then the taxi driver comes and talks to him. You don't see his face, so I wonder who might that be.
The other thing is you give lacroix the key and leave. Then he opens the chest and blows up basically. Then you see the same ending with Jack, the king, and the taxi driver. Not Sure if it is different in any other alliance. ------------------- ![]()

Ah, good ol' Ming.
See, the bitch decides you're too dangerous to keep around, so she locks you in it and has you dumped in the ocean. Kinda like a mafia killing. Man, the endings all suck ass. You don't ever win.

Game performance was fine until this final boss where I was getting 1-5 FPS reducing gameplay to a unplayable slide show especially when the boss attacks and creates that blurring effect Anyone else get this?

It's just the the final boss that's the problem as far as FPS goes. I'm using an xp2800, 1gb ram and an MSI fx5900xt by the way.

if your remeber what the taxi driver says he prettymuch implies that either him or jack is caine, which is pretty pathetic. is there an ending where you side with the camarilla? and i was wondering if there was ever even a hint about how jack got the c4 into the sacophogus... unless of course he was the one who killed everyone abord the Dane

i think you'll find the taxi driver is caine. look through the convo files and mp3's, you'll find, "caine" which includes lines such as, "where to?" and the whole taxo conversation. i just dont get what significance jack, caine and the dude in the coffin has with the whole game?
i get that jack - or caine - stole the kikng and filled coffin with C4 on the dane, and then used you to get the c4 to lacroix, but... there's so much confusion! still not sure about the whole warewolf thing and everything...

There are five potential paths to the end during that conversation with the cabbie.
* Side with the Anarchs against Ming Xiao and La Croix. * Side with Ming Xiao against La Croix. * Side With La Croix against Ming Xiao. * Side with the Camirilla against Ming Xiao and La Croix. * Side with yourself against Ming Xiao and La Croix. Depending on the choices you made through the game, and what you say during that conversation, then you may not be presented with some of these options. As for the FPS, they have never been particularly good in this game (using a 2.8Ghz, 756mb ram, 128Mb graphics card, but it's a pentium so it's slower for games anyway) but there is only one section that really dragged (single-digit FPS) that's on the way up La Croix's tower there is a over-lit section with a lot of glass, where you run into the first vampires on the way up the tower. I dropped a few options and it went alright, but then I turned off the lights using the computer and the FPS went back to normal. The final boss was, overall, fine. Apparently there is some kind of memory leak in this game, that causes performace to degrade as you play. Try saving at the start of the fight with the sherrif, shutting your computer down, then switching it back on (clears the memory better than a simple restart) then load the game and fight him. Also try closing down any background programs that are runing in your system tray (that section on the task bar that is next to the clock if you don't know.) And drop graphics options. This should help your FPS, as for the crash, you could try the patch if it isn't already installed. I don't know if this will help, I have only completed the game with the patch installed, I could not get past the Society of Leopold without it, it always crashed when loading the level after getting on the boat. ------------------- 'Actually one thing stopped me in my tracks.
