ok
well i just brought it and ive been after this game for 5 weeks due to lack of not avalable copies
ok its installed
when i run it its like the resolution is to high and i get that box that slowly moves about the screen sayin vsinc error or something similar
now theres no setup
i cant get to any menu to change the setings
theres no configuration file
and i tried properties then compatability
ok what i need is if someonne can set their game to say
640X whatever just a low resolution
or even 800X 600
and save it and then send me a copy of their configuration file
alternatively give me another solution to the problem
u wouldnt even have to send it to me just copy and paste it in the next post please i really need this !!!!!

just someone set their game to 800x600 and copy and paste the cfg file so i can play too

You can set your video to 800X600 by going into the control panel and selecting the settings tab on the Display settings. Your resolution is selected by a slide rule titled screen area. Save the settings and you may need to reboot (but most likely not). Restart the video game and it should work. I've had this issue once or twice. Even had the correct settings but for some reason the game didn't believe me. I altered the settings and then went back and reset them again and it worked, didn't reboot.

i had to change the refresh rate of direct X 9 to 60 not default my problems over and im greatly enjoyin the game!!!

how did u change directx refresh i got same problrem

You go to your start menu, open run dialog, type in dxdiag. There you go to the last tab for troubleshooting purposes. There you will find the option to override the refresh rate for the Direct X 9c. For some reason when DirectX 9c is installed, it does some strange shindig with the refresh rates. It's not only this game it does it to. Several of my games have not been able to play due to this "standardized proprietary" screw up from Micro**it. and its most likely that alot of problems happen due to the embedded service pack 2. Might be service pack 2 itself. The thing that gets to me is that, we pay so much money and effort trying to make sure our computers are safe from viruss that we give up what the computer was meant to do in the first place. I'm left feeling that I'm a slave to my Pc's security, instead of actually using it to do useful work
