Official "Night Blitz" help thread. |

Rather than spread over various threads, let's consolidate it all here.
This is a stinker mission! I have not beat it yet. My 2 cents. It seems ever time you destroy one of the blue laser light whatevers, the core pops up-BUT FACES THE WRONG WAY!. My question is - it it random or for each section, will each core face a specific direction? If so, we can plan a better attack. Also, are we reponsible for destroying the blue laser domes, even if we take out the core in that section? The time limit is what makes it hard for me in this game..

I noticed when I used the Mig-29SMT that once that
central core thing elevated I was still able to take the thing out.Firing a good salvo of rockets will cause some serious damage when firing at it regardless if you can hit the central core deal. Try that out and give it a try...it does work

ok I passed the mission. Here's what I learned.
There are four cores surronded by four blue lasers each. Take out a laser and the core pops out. !!!! Each core faces the central tower so, for example; on the southeast core and blue laser group, take out the west most blue laser and when the core pops up the open side will be facing you/the central tower. This put you plane in best position to target the core-----execpt you will have to fly around it. just try to keep your attack in relation the the center of the map and you will only have to hit one blue laser and the core for each of the four groups. I also used the airbreak a lot to give a few more seconds. sorry if this is confusing..best I could do. As for pierre, I flew Ken's yf-17 cobra and used a volley of the special missels you purchase seperatly. They taget farther out and almost always hit the mark no matter what your target does.. the air break is one of the best tools for tight spaces. It allows you to keep the throttle high and slow down real quick. If you leave the throttle up, you'll regian speed quick after you release the airbreak. This technique is also key to the metro mission!!

Rockets are the key to this mission.
I have finished it with Holst in the A-10, and also with Alex in the Harrier. The harrier is one of my favorites because you can use your missiles on the planes, and use your rocket pods for the radar and cores. The rockets dont even have to be dead on. Just land it in the general area, and its over. This is especially useful when the core comes up, because if you dont have rockets, you have to actually fly around until you can get a clear view of the core and get a missile lock. With rockets, you can fire them into the back wall of the core, and it will still destroy the entire thing. Much less hassle. I went in, took out Pierre first, because he was an actual target for the mission. I hunted him down, and took him out, and then just let the rest of my squad handle the other aircraft while I went to work on the ground targets. Theres nothing worse than trying to take down an ace when youve only got about a minute and a half, to two minutes left on the timer, so I always take them first if they are a requirement to the mission.

Yep, Pierre is your secondary and final objective for that mission. Good luck in your pursuit. He's difficult through those buildings. Just fly on instinct and you should be alright.
It says your registered now. I don't see the problem your having there.
