I killed the Ram and lifted him up on the hook! Gave Darien the Cure! Looked down the grate at Isis and a message said to find a way to access the statue), Used the spanner on the anchor, killed the 3 zombies on/near the stairs, went back down into the Cargo Hold to open the trap door in the floor. When I tried to open the trap door, I get a message that the hold is full of cursed fog and it would be foolish to try now!
I have went back over deck 1, deck 2, top deck and even went back down into the furnace room to check for loose ends including killing all the zombies in the furnace room, (at least 30 times). The Captain has the sextant, I got the crossbow and 3 different notes from LaChat about the ransom. I killed the Ram and hooked him (so many times that he is not a challenge anymore), used the spanner on the anchor chain. I can not open the trap door in the cargo hold due to the curse fog. Does anyone have an answer or a save past the point of getting the statue from the cargo hold. Please HELP!! I am getting desperate! I even bought an extra game (CD) to make sure it was me and not the game. HELP!

I have the same problem. At first, I thought it was me, and tried everything again. If you already have found an answer, please let me know. If you haven`t, please, tell me if you took a bucket of water as Darien in museum, because I did that and I read in I walkthrough something about a pc bug in this game???? also I didn`t use the gate key in the trainstation, maybe we made the same mistake???

Have not found a answer, if I do will let your know.I took the bucket of water as Victoria gave Darien the cure and used the gate key, but with the same results, played the game again looking for any thing I missed with same results (Sorry)

That is what I feared of Anyway, I sent two e-mails to one guy who is working for dreamcatcher in technical support. I`m wayting to his second answer. In the first one, he told me it is not a technical problem. I went to many forums and everybody is suggesting something but those suggestions just don`t work. This time I asked about the PC bug, so if that is the problem, I will be glad to give you the good news. In the meantime, it wouldn`t hurt if you also send him an e-mail. His address is joel@dreamcatchergames.com . Maybe if he realises that there are more people with this problem, he will be more willing to help.

I called Dreancatchers also they said I must have missed something. Thank you for suggesting to send a e-mail. I sent one out this morning telling them of my problem, hopefully this will make then believe there is a problem in the game:

I finally opened the trap door after killing the Ram! In my case it wasn’t something I missed, it was something that I was doing wrong. After killing the Ram and hooking him, there was a cut scene & Victoria is by Darien. Abdul then appears & tells Victoria to give Darien the Cure. “This is where I was doing it wrong” (Do not access Darien’s inventory). The correct way! While Victoria is standing near Darien you hit F5. When it says do you want to access Darien’s inventory you must hit the “escape” key. Now you only have Victoria’s inventory on the screen. Combine the mortar & pestle with the artifact pot, and then combine them with the water. Hit F1 to use the cure! After you use the cure, Darien will set-up. Then have Victoria look down the grate at Isis and then go up the ladder and then the stairs to use the spanner on the anchor chain. After returning back to the cargo hold you should be able to open the trap door with the ring for a handle and retrieve Isis from below. GOOD LUCK!

It seems like we solved the problem separately in the same time. I lost my nerve, so my husband was trying to open the hatch, he went to Victoria`s inventory and pressed f1 which means use. All the time I was trying to exchange the medicine with Darien instead of using it on Darien. Well who would know that. How far did you come now. We went to Pyramids and killed two scorpions. Watch out, you have to cure Darien again
