My question is why do you buy a certain video game system? Is it because the games, the extra features? for me i stick to the one with the most background. Also i pick the ones with the best games(that suit me). If this turns into a "this system is better" i will close this thread. So what do you want in a video game system?(maybe in the next gamecube)

I really enjoy the Mario and Zelda games. So I always buy Nintendo systems, I don't waste my money with other systems because I know that I will not like the games.

I bought Gamecube because when I got it I was young, and was not into all the violent games that PS2 and X-Box have. And I always have loved games with Link and Mario in it as said earlier, and I really wanted SSBM.

Well it's pretty obvious why I got a ps2 since it was the only console out when I bought it. Graphics don't matter to me, it's the games that are the most important factor of a console. I wanted to get all three consoles but I don't have enough money and I ain't allowed to get consoles for christmas so since I thought the gc had more good games than the xbox and it was cheaper I decided to get a gc instead. If there is a xbox game I like I would just buy it and play it on my step-brothers xbox instead of getting my own.

Also the sonic games went over to nintendo.

well for me...most of my cousins(meaning only one other cousin has a Gamecube like me)have a PS2 and I wanted to get a different system so I got a Gamecube.Also I got a Gamecube because I was into Sonic Adventure 2 Battle .

I base my choice on who has the most games I want. If you just buy a console because it has good graphics, and a (one) game you like on it, unless it was just released.

I buy a system because of what it represent, and above all the games it has going for it. I like what the gameCube tries to be in terms of an innovative turn on the gaming industry, and only wished it were more popular for that. The fact that it's purple and irregularily shaped only makes it more unique, as per it's nature. The games; of course, are what you're going to be spending your time on though. :P

I bought the GCN because they have Mario, Zelda and other games created by Miyamoto on it. ^^ The GCN is the only console that has tons of good E-rated games and none of the games I've seen for the other consoles interest me. Nintendo is the only console with: Mario Kart: Double Dash, upcoming FF:CC, Pikmin, Super Smash Bros. Melee, the Zelda Bonus Disc, The Wind Waker...

I bought GameCube because I wanted the free Zelda Disc and to be able to play GameBoy games on my TV.

I buy a console because of game selection, which is one reason why I don't own my own GCN. I have a PS2 and gettin an X-Box. Why? Game selection. I look at the game selection for each of the consoles, then go w/ what intrests me.
