It's just used for certain linkup feature with a few games. For example, linking to Wind Waker allows for a minimap of the area on the GBA and use special Tingle abilites. Linking Metroid Fusion (GBA game) to Metroid Prime unlocks some bonus extras. Linking a GBA to Animal Crossing allows access to a little island. ------------------- | |
