Nintendo's got a lot lined up for this year's E3.The new GCN LoZ looks excellent. It's worth the wait for those who hated the idea of the cel-shaded LoZ:TWW when it was replaced for the first footage shown at Spaceworld. Here's the list of the GCN games announced at nintendo.com so far: Advance Wars: Under Fire Custom Robo Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat Donkey Konga Fire Emblem Geist Legend of Zelda, The Legend of Zelda, The: Four Swords Adventures Mario Tennis Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Paper Mario 2 Pikmin 2 Star Fox I'm sure they'll announce more details at this year's Spaceworld in August. Just when everybody thought Nintendo was in a slump by seeing it's status in the console section, Nintendo availed the much hyped Nintendo DS.Here's what a few developers said about it: “DS is deceptively amazing. … Touch screen is a very blank canvas for a game designer to be able to design their own input features. … DS really could be a killer to PSP. … I really think the Nintendo DS could kick the crap out of Sony PSP.” – Kevin Ray, chief technology officer, Majesco “I am sure people have a nice memory of yelling at a controller. Now, we have a more established function of inputting our voice. … Nintendo always pleasantly surprises us with interesting projects and interesting ideas.” – Keiji Inafune, producer, Capcom Full list of developer comments found here. ------------------- "I want you to lead me, And take me somewhere, Don't want to live in a dream one more day" | |

Another gamecube exclusive lost...... to PS2! |
|
I just read this, Viewtiful Joe, 1 and 2 are being made for PS2 and GC. And the PS2 version has exclusive characters. I think PS2 should get their own exclusive games, or give GC some of theirs. (such as GTA S.A) ------------------- .my.movies. | |

---------- June 01, 2004 - One of the biggest crazes amongst Japanese fan sites is to keep track of trademark filings from your favorite game companies. This practice has resulted in numerous finds for game-related products prior to official announcement. Notables include Sega's Shining Tears trademark, which turned into the Game Boy Advance game of the same name, and Nintendo's Origin Of Our TV Games, which, while a total mystery at first, turned into the catch copy for the Famicom Mini series of titles and is stamped onto every game in the series over in Japan. Nintendo's latest filings have people even more confused (and intrigued) than the "Origin Of Our TV Games" trademark. Registered recently in Japan were the following: "COMMANDERPACK," "COMMANDER," "MISSION," "Manebito/Camera," "Ningen-Copy/Manebito," and "Peach Hime." The last trademark is the easiest one to explain. Hime is Japanese for Princess, making the trademark read "Princess Peach" in English. We're not sure why Nintendo has chosen to patent the name of Mario's favorite princess-in-distress now, but perhaps an all-girl platformer is in the works. The first three trademarks seem to be connected to one another and are so mysterious that we can't even conjecture what they could be. The first two are written both in English and in Japanese Katakana characters while the third is just in English. The remaining two would be just as mysterious had Nintendo not provided images with their registration. Ningen Copy translates to "Person Copy," with Manebito translating to "Someone who imitates." Given that the word "Camera" appears along side that, one gets the feeling that Nintendo may be planning a camera peripheral of some form. Perhaps this is the big GameCube peripheral that the company has been speaking about. For now, we can do nothing but speculate. The two pictures for "Manebito/Camera" and "Ningen-Copy/Manebito" can be seen below. Look closely at the bottom picture and you'll note what seems to be a GameCube inside the second kanji that forms the word for "Person." Hmm... ![]() A camera is attached to the "Ka" character in "Camera." ![]() "Ningen" (person) is written with a camera attached to the first character and a GameCube forming the center part of the second character. ---------- Looks like Nintendo is planning an Eyetoy: Satan ------------------- Wild World Wiki|Last.fm | |

I heard some interesting stuff about that "Jungle Beat" title-like how it will use those bongos from "Donkey Konga" (of course you can buy more separately) as the controller or the game. Reminds me of the old "Power Glove" and "U-Force" NES accessories from the late 1980s. ------------------- ![]() The Best Thing To Happen To MMA Since, Well, MMA R.I.P. Aside from you stunning linkage skills, the link didn't lead directly to the article
---------- Konami's favorite console poll Konami Europe's official websites hold a poll each week, and this one's about what console European people prefer to play, guess which one is winning. The official Konami of Spain website's poll of the week is asking gamers which console is their favorite game system, and the console that's winning the poll is none other than GameCube. With a steady lead, the GameCube's got 68.2% of the votes, Xbox has 21.2%, Game Boy Advance gets 8.1, PS2 has 2.9 and finally 0.6% of the people voted for PC. Konami's UK website's poll results are not too different, the GameCube is still winning: 41.6% prefer to play GameCube, 26.7 say the PS2 is what they like to use for entertaining, 17.9 say Xbox is the best, 11.1% love PC games more than anything and 2.7% love their GBA's. Le French seem to like the GameCube better than the others, as the GameCube got 71.7%, the PS2 14%, PC 6.5, Xbox 6.1 and GBA got 1.7%. The German voted for GameCube the most too: GameCube: 38% PS2: 25.6% PC: 20.1% Xbox: 13.1% Game Boy Advance: 2.8% It seems that the users from Europe that visit the European Konami sites like the GameCube better than the other consoles. ---------- ------------------- Wild World Wiki|Last.fm | |
