Well i'm basically a WinCE guy. I had a chance to see one of these new sony toy. They are just amazing, i think it was instant heart winner. The graphics is the best i have seen in all the pocket toys. There is a graphics viewer and the images were really very sharp. Even the fonts were very crisp and clear.
Surely much better than any of the devices in the market.
I want to buy this but expensive.. not when copared to those ipaqs

Don't you think the Ipaq although expensive is a lot better than the Sony effort. It's got a fantatic colour screen, the windows media player is great and if you a close to a millinaire you can get some cool add ons. It's a must if you want a palm type device thingy!

I have just seen the new COLOUR Sony Clie, it looks bloody marvelous. Not sure if it's better than the Ipaq as I've not used one yet, but I can't wait to get my grubby little mitts on one!

It's been a year since I bought a SONY PEG-S500C with a Japanese Palm OS. And up to now, I still could'nt change the language of the OS to English.
I've read the English manual on the internet, but it was'nt much of a help. I talked with the previous owner, but what she did was just install several programs
that are in English, but when I tried using them, the characters that appear are still in Japanese.

I also tried doing a Hot Sync with my PC, but the program that came with the handheld was also in Japanese. And I was not able to sync it with my PC.
I tried using an English version of the Palm Desktop, but it still would not sync.

Is there a way to change the OS of this Sony handheld, from a Japanese one to an English OS? I do hope you could help me out...
